Pantomime a perfect way to roundoff the holiday - and so near, a pity most of the plays at that venue are a bit fringe - actually pantos are a bit fringe really

Happy New year everyone Christmas Hols officially over now. Police Christmas Party is always the first weekend of the new year have been Tigger for two days very hot costume. had a cold sneezed into its head and I think while in the costume have sweated out the cold and feel fine now.
Some major New Years Resolutions that I bound to break You never know this year might be it.
Huge cleaning need this week so look out for the page turning list!

Wolfcub · 03/01/2010 20:55

tea can I have your ham in coke recipe when you have time?

StAnne · 03/01/2010 21:08

Wolf Love your dress idea, very 50's. Are you going to look at more?

Wolfcub · 03/01/2010 21:21

stanne I will have to look at more as that one is only available in size 8 which definitely will not fit me. The 50's style is one I am very keen on and I have seen a dress on dollycouture.com which I love but I am nervous about ordering from America and they are really more money than I can afford.

TeaMonster · 03/01/2010 21:42

Wolf Have you thought of getting someone to quote to make you a dress like that. You can get some lovley ones made.

Oh and the ham in coke I am very lazy and just bung in the slow cooker with chopped onions and coke until cooked. You can then glaze with homey, mustard or maple and oven cook for 10 mins till golden.

We had it for 3 meals. 1 hot with veg, then cold with egg and chips and then I made pea and ham soup, which can be an effort (soaking peas for 16 hours and then pushing though a sieve once cooked with the onions and stock), but it was delicious and cheap - 26p for the dried peas!!!

TeaMonster · 03/01/2010 21:44

Sorry for lack of receipes i dont really do actual receipes I am more of a bung it in and taste and make it up as I go. I believe Nigella does one.

I am a scientist when it comes to baking, as that is alchemy, but cooking I am not from the delia, exactly 2 grains of salt school

evening all,
I haven't done much housework today but we have had a lovely friendly day out and about in town, went to the shops for school shoes, and have Dim Sum for DS1's good behaviour treat, but managed to park in a charity carpark £5 all day instead of £2.20 an hour so we went to the Fitzwilliam Museum as well they have a great family pack and like a treasure hunt around the museum so the boys were overjoyed.

anyway, didn't get back until 5pm so it was feed the boys and play for a bit before bathtime.

Dishwasher X1 Done
