A very slow start this morning
I can hear the clack clack of a marble run in the distance, that is about the most energetic thing in this house...

However, we have some guests coming to lunch
[to shake us into action] so, a roast is in the oven
I have shaken out the sofa cover
collected some cups from all over
swept the floor
dh has gone to Morrisons with dd to get potatoes and green veg
ds1 has gone back to bed in a huff about something

Need to hoover centre of playroom now

Hope you are being looked after, Wendy, and that the sore throat has some remedy.

Hi swan, and everyone else. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas .

We've had a lovely/busy time . Dh has taken DC out to the beach so I'm madly hoovering, washing and bagging up rubbish (where does it all come from?). I'm working tomorrow then no plans until BIL comes at the weekend (phew).

Sorry you're not well Wendy, hope you feel better soon.

Hope everyones not too overloaded and is managing to catch a few minutes peace and quiet here and there. I hope Santa left a nice little something just for you. .

Grouchy were you watching Love Actually...anyone would cry
We are watching Back to the Future [sad am I that old emoticon - I can remember all the topical references c. 1985 but the children don't get them

Lovely lovely guests, who brought their own pudding as all guests should
effortless entertaining

washingup done
dd has been a complete star helping dh and I today prepare and tidy, she loves guests
ds2 did too much burping to be a good host

Ruby swimsuits sound New Yearish to me
Scatty glad you are well and full of energy!

evening all,
just going to jump straight back in if that is ok?
had a party this afternoon so this mornign flew round the house, everywhere was properly clean and tidy, just a small basket of ironing at the bottom of my bed and 4 loads of washing needing to go in the washer.

So party was lovely 30 (including children) of our friends who were just really relaxed good company.

they left at 8.30 and the boys were asleep within 15 minutes of them all going.

so this evening have decorated a birthday cake for a 2 year old that is being picked up in the morning.

Dining room and sitting room cleared up from the party, kitchen still needs some work but I am pooped - sorry flylady I am going to shine my sink in the morning.

lots to do tomorrow and will be back with you lovely ladies then.

Hope you have all had a good christmas and those who are poorly I hope you have a good nights sleep.

wendyhappysmile · 28/12/2009 22:51
