Hello to everyone. Just a quickie so that I can walk the dog whilst it's still daytime and it isn't raining. I've been soaked 2 nights in a row and it isn't ideal. I've bought myself a florescent jacket to wear over my coat when I'm walking her in the night-time. I've also bought a spare pair of warm gloves as my gloves have got soaked twice in 2 days.

feeling better for having posted three important letters, written some dates in diary and had a nice time talking to ds1 whilst doing paperwork.

They are now writing long long mad lists to Santa, including things like deckchairs snorkels, bikinis,mobile phones and telescopes and having loads of fun.

Suddenly it feels very cosy and Christmaslike here! A bit noisy though.

I am on FB but only because of going to the MN meet-up tomorrow. I may well disable it after that.

Yes, we do have posts from luda occasionally, EHM when she isn't really busy with her lo or with moving house, tort and Jas now and again and I've forgotten who EV is just at the moment. This is from the person who asked a Mum who said "Hello" in the coffee shop today who she was as I didn't recognise her! Oooops!

Back from Slough and environs thereof from Confirmation ceremony. Lucky I went as my goddaughter had converted to catholicism! The christening 15 years ago was Anglican, so I was very confused by the ceremony which to mislead matters further was in a sports hall. Not that it matters which kind of christian she was confirmed as...just that I was expecting something quite different.
It was very moving to see all these 15 year old school girls in their school uniforms confirmed - I thought of dd and what sort of 15 year old she would be, having really only seen that particular 15 year godchild last when she was a toddler.. Teenage daughters - the next challenge or hopefully, like yours Simply
Long lost cousins gave me lift home - it was hour away, but felt pleased I managed to get there myself after all that fussing.

House a perfect muddle, but very relieved that kids were still in one piece when dh returned so it doesn't matter. I am eating leftover curry.

Today I've eaten no snacks, until 5.30, when I felt so stressed I had 3 biscuits before settng off. I think the scales show I've lost I kilo over last week, hope they still do tomorrow
