Babysteps galen (tis my moto these days, I even say it at work lol).

MC - You do sound very busy! You can always cut back if it gets too much.

Swan - my friend is despairing of her 9yo too. I guess he will eventually learn what is acceptable and what isn't if he has to face the consequences of his actions (detention). Good luck.

Tea - well done ds on braving preschool. Hope you get a better night.

back from Beavers and dc in bed. BB tomorrow.

Done (and now knackered):

-DCs to school
-get stuff ready for kids to stick coloured shapes on their fancy dress hats for school tomorrow
-dishwasher
-soak white clothes, shower curtain, bath toys and metal bits out of the oven in bath in Vanish White
-put away one basket of laundry and fold another load from tumble dryer into basket to 'squash' itself so it doesn't need ironing
-iron DH shirt
-clean bathroom + floor
-wash whites
-clean oven
-clean microwave
-dust downstairs
-hoover downstairs with a squirt of carpet foam
-get kids to finish their hats quickly after school before we go to Mothers' Meeting as they need to wear them tomorrow.
-find change for kids to pay to not wear school uniform tomorrow and buy cakes.
-DD spellings practice
-fill in dinner choice forms + cheques x 2 and school trip form + cheque
-get kids outfits ready for fancy dress tomorrow
-cook dinner

Will respond to other people's posts tomorrow!

Hello to all. I've been away today so haven't posted until now.

I hope that everyone who isn't feeling 100% has a good night's sleep tonight and feels much better tomorrow.

Reading through the posts, it's nice to see that the FLY thread continues to be supportive.

I hope the funeral went as well as could be expected today Jas.

I'll see you tomorrow. Nos da. Good night.

Thanks for the kind messages.

Perhaps it is my destiny to join you but I was too busy getting things done today to take a moment to post about it...

I did work with a timer though. Amazing results.

SimplyIsGoingToLearnToFLY · 23/09/2009 21:24

I'm back to post this thread link for Jas to see tomorrow or sometime. a Walking The Dead thread I don't know if I can explain the episode Jas It was really bizarre like the thread says. I'm happy to answer any questions you have, though.

Cadmum I put the timer on for 15 mins the other day (I've not done it much, if at all, before) because I really didn't feel like doing anything. When it went off I was busy sorting out the kitchen and I had to think "What the heck is the timer on for?"

swanriver · 23/09/2009 22:34

Right, need a quick jolt from computer
TODO before nightfall
sweep and mop kit floor
unload and reload dw
hang out tm's school uniform wet and dry alike
put all documents in relevant places
quick tidy of playroom whichhas become cat grotto [grot area]

OSAHM - v impressive and productive
Simply - that's it - you have to be so busy that you forget to be bored!
