how about £55 inc p&p?

SammyK · 08/08/2009 23:11

I think I will take you up on that FAQ Am off to bed now but will be back tomorrow.

Don't mind him being heavy and a bit tricky around corners as I only have a small area to do as most of house is hard floors that I sweep and mop. The fact that they seem to last is what attracts me. Just want a relaible hoover that will last!

Sammy - you can Henry and mop your hard floors - there's a "switch" on the head that you flick which puts out little brushes for hard floors - then when I go back onto my rugs I flick the switch and the brushes retract. No more sweeping!!!

How are they on stairs?
If they are better than Bosch, I might think about getting one as compensation for not being allowed the Kirby!

oneopinionatedmother · 08/08/2009 23:16

i thought you were on about drugs for a second there...

Dh advises they're great unless you want to hoover up beer (i would have thought drinking it would be better, silly me)

georgimama · 09/08/2009 08:41

I think Henrys do an even better job of hard floors than they do carpets. The hose is very very long and stretchy so I can do my run of stairs from the bottom.

deaddei · 09/08/2009 11:21

We got one after Dyson broke- my dh does all the hoovering and seems happy with it!!!!

greenfanta · 09/08/2009 22:59

was also convinced by dh that henry was best, and yes he is right. great suction (2 crap dysons later), not as heavy either. not as easy to tip over as regular cylinder. i like the red headed one we've got it's a turbo brush thingy. and it's made in britain!!!

Glad you are going for a Henry. I am on our second, and really like it, kitchen floor, or carpets. The Dyson we had was worse than useless...don't get me started on that!

ScaredOfCows · 10/08/2009 13:56

I have always had Henrys, but the one we have just thrown away was not very good at all. This time I bought a Meile, and it is absolutely fantastic. The only criticism is that the power lead is not as long as on the Henry, but in every other way it is much better.
