whats the best thing to clean moses basket with thats been in loft ?

It's in a black bin bag but been up there for a couple of years.

When DH eventually gets it down whats the best way/product for cleaning?

hoover the basket and leave it out in the sun somewhere to air - don't get it wet

wash all the fabric bits

better start really nagging tonight then as we may have sun tomorrow!!!!
