So sorry galen I hope the time away is not too traumatic.

littleboyblue · 19/07/2009 11:43

Oh galen So sorry. At least he is at peace now and left this plaine in the presence of the one he loved. Plenty worse ways to go. I know that doesn't help. Love and prayers to your family. Especially your dh.

Wolfcub · 19/07/2009 12:12

galen I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and dh and the children.

wendyredkitchenredspots · 19/07/2009 13:29

So sorry galen, see you when you get back. Thinking of you lots.

Galen - sorry to hear about your FIL. Will be a traumatic time but sound slike a nice way to go iykwim. The children will be fine after a while, I'm sure.

swanriver · 19/07/2009 19:08

Galen, Hope the journey is bearable, echo what everyone else has said. Hope you can get some comfort from all being together there.

We have had a rather dull but pleasant day, lot of bicycling but a fair amount of whingeyness alas.

Done
Mass with absolutely manic ds2 - sermon was about getting some time for yourself/coping with interruptions which was v. thought provoking
2 meals of extreme convenience
loads of tidyng and putting things in loft
board games
tv
fresh air
collected slain slugs and snails first thing
lavender harvest
hoovering
read BBC good food mag and feel slightly sick

Scatty, enjoy London, it is looking green and lovely. Not that warm actually...breezy in the suburbs certainly, I'm wearing a cardigan.

swanriver · 19/07/2009 19:34

forgot three nice things
lots of violining (they were so bored they reseorted to competitive practisng)
fairy cakes
colourbraiding of dd's hair
and dh did some tidying too

TM dss used to love sleeping in same room, in fact only moved them because dd desperately wanted ds2 to sleep next to HER (and the diff sleep patterns)
That is so sweet they want to be together, glad you had your revenge on nasty bed co.

scattyspice · 19/07/2009 19:59

Hi again

Thinking of you galen .

Have managed to pack and been to a very manic party. Just need to wrap presents now.

DS birthday tomorrow then train to London (looking forward to visiting your city swan) back on Thurs so see you then.

TeaMonster · 19/07/2009 20:41

scatty Have a fab time

swan we have spent the day re-arranging stuff and I am going to cancell the bed in the morning. They are happy to share and that is fine until they are bigger. DS2's old room can accomodate some of the larger toys that can not fit in the shared room.

I have masses to do tomorrow, as everything got shoved in to DS2's old room.

Put teddies and some old coats in the loft
Put table in the loft
Washing
Ironing
put cotbed in the garage
move rocking chair from garage to spare room/study
Sort DS2's bedside cabinet in to drawers in DS1's room

The boys have been very naughty today and DH is very angry at them, it is the first time he has seen them in this naughty all day mood, normally he misses some being at work.

I dont know where the weekend has gone - I will miss DH

Jas · 19/07/2009 23:52

Hell all.

Galen Sorry to hear about fil.

I hope ed had a great birthday GO

And sorry for my long absence(s)

Thankyou Bianca for nudging me gently back

I was looking forwards to the holidays, but the fighting between the dds has scaled new heights and I'm not s relaxed abut it any more.

On a positive note, dp is still working, and we have a few days away planned next weekend (visiting my grandma for her 90th, so lots of the family will be there.)

I am still FLYing and enough of the habits have stuck s that I'm not totally engulfed by mess at all times.

Back tomorrow...
