How to get the smell out of leather sofa?!

My cat has been unwell lately and had a bit of a diarrhoea accident all over my lovely leather sofa. I washed it with hot soapy water as soon as I saw it, and there isnt any staining, but the sofa does now have a lingering smell of poo about it. Any ideas how to get it out?? I have looked at the Febreze bottle and it specifically says don't use on leather. Has anyone ignored this and tried it anyway?? Or any other suggestions???
Thanks for your help

lemon oil dissolved in hot soapy water and wiped over. Chemists sell it

thanks chocolate,
worth a try and even the man from service master can't get the smell out. it now smells of chemicals trying to mask the smell of poo!
