Afternoon All

Thanks to everyonr for the good wishes. I am feeling a lot less fluy but I'm taking it steady. I was supposed to be visiting a mosque today but, I don't think I'm up for it now

Been FLYing, basically clearing up after DH's cookery last night also

Had a shower
Made bed
Pegged out
Clean work surfaces
Load dw and run
Load WM and run
Empty kitchen bins
Fed the cat
fed the birds
Tidied the laundry in the bedroom (embarrasing mess)
Wrapped a pile of pressies for Ed and DH

To DO

Ironing
Uniform for morning
Pack bags
Reading practice with Ed

Ed has mislaid his PE shorts and 3 school sweaters {hmm] where the heck are they? Ho hum

DH has been doing his family tree for ages. We are constantly discovering dead Germans!
y GPs did theirs years ago and how strange, My GGD had a brother with the same name as DS and I never knew it was a family name!

Wolfcub · 12/07/2009 13:17

afternoon all grouchy you are supposed to be taking it easy woman, that list does not look like taking it easy to me!

done

bed made
dry washing folded
bathroom cleaned
quick tidy in living room
discussed weddings with dp and looked up a few of the hotels on the net
phoned work

am watching the grand prix and think I will clip recipes from my pile of food magazines while I do so.

Have a lovely day all

swanriver · 12/07/2009 13:30

LOL "dead germans" Grouchy I suppose most ftrees contain rather a lot of dead people

I have watered everything with Tomorite
Picked up playstuff from garden
Rung a cousin
Ds has been allowed downstairs and is watching Step Inside
Dd has rung to say she's on a MerryGoRound but not kissed her cousins yet.

Still need to do something useful indoors

feeling a bit frazzled now.
Hope all with flu type things are getting better

things not too bad here I spose. DC went out in back garden whilst I tidied a bit and mopped floors....sadly they found a large bucket of water anbd lots of mud.... and well lets just say I have had to bath them all already LOL

Did fish and mashed pots for lunch...tea will be something quick and easy yay!!

Need to get 3 of them sorted for school trip tomorrow....trousers, trainers,wellies,raincoats,suncream,lunches,snacks,drinks,money,purses.....

am also ignoring large washing mountain....

seriously exhausted and lacking in motivation though...

still DH hopefully back round 7pm....

right should go and be useful...

hmm DD1 supposed to be drawing in dining room but has bok propped up and I can hear beeping...who thinks she may be on her DS that I told her she couldnt go on??? LOL Better investigate!

TeaMonster · 12/07/2009 20:20

Well done galen for even just getting through the weekend.

Groucy Make sure you do take things easy. DS1 has started on Lego Starwars - need to find inexpensive ones for his reward charts.

We had a lovley sunday Roast and have played lego with both the boys, also done some colouring, playing in the garden in between showers and a little ironing

Evening routine is done.

swanriver What a wonderful mix you have! Hey, we might be related! Whereabouts do your Welsh lot come from (roughly)? Mine are south (the valleys mainly) and my English lot are Black Country folk. I feel very at home in a funny way when I go there and visit churches and graveyards where my ancestors were married and buried.

go Look after yourself and I hope you're feeling much better again by tomorrow. Finding dead people is one of the drawbacks of family tree research. I reckon that if I had a drink problem, I'd probably have something special to celebrate every day of the year with so many relatives, a birth anniversary, christening anniversary etc. It would be "Bottoms up!" and "Iechyd da!" for the Welsh!

galen I second TM. Well done on getting through the w/e. I hope your dh is okay. I'm sure he's finding it pretty tough going.

Right. I was going to type up some meeting notes this w/e but I haven't done it. I have, though, finished the ironing pile all bar the load which is on the washing line atm. My NEW RESOLUTION folks will be to do some ironing at least every other day. Feel free to ask me if you wish. I won't fib on this thread and if I know someone has asked then I'll feel compelled to do it before coming on and posting, so you'll be helping me if you do occasionally ask. Dh has a wardrobe full of work shirts and I think I've pretty much run out of hangers! See you tomorrow. Nos da pawb.

swanriver · 12/07/2009 22:29

Had a v. peaceful and pleasant day with ds2 at home playing in garden, pairs etc.
Others had a fabulous day at family meetup, so all home in excellent mood
Mum and Dad dropped back with dh for a cup of tea, but all too briefly, they were knackered.

Did loads of tidying
Some edge trimming of lawn with scissors
Laundry
fried potatoes x 3
Watched Hp with kds
No signs of illness in other kids thank goodness.

Your picnic sounds beautiful and atmostpheric TM what clever boys to be able to do Lego already (mne couldn't at that age and I still can't...)
Wendy, hello
Everyone else I've missed hello hope your Sunday was excellent.
Wolf, hello

swanriver · 12/07/2009 22:36

Ah Simply, Merthyr Tydvll (spelt that wrong I know) but they left to make their fortunes. I will say no more (partly because not very well up on that branch) I have 35 first cousins alone on both sides of amily.
Ironing, a great improvement to situation by relocating ironing board to bedroom and right next to wardrobe. Dh occasionally trips over it, but still. May do some now
