Yaaahhhhhhhhh!

ithinkmydaughterispeppapig · 23/07/2009 16:37

I meant browsing!!

alicecrail · 23/07/2009 16:43

Thank you, in the end my tv/computer overheatd so i had to get off here

In that time, i have:

Think about doing dinner
Have a bath/wash hair

wastingmyeducation · 23/07/2009 16:43

The day went weird. DS fell asleep on me, but I had to shift him and he went back to sleep when I put him in his cot! Never happened before. I shall try it again sometime.
Mum came round so we've been nattering and DS has been ill. Hope it's nothing serious, but he's snotty and hot. I'm feeling achey too.

  • DS up and dressed done
  • breakfast done
  • duster day! some
  • spin washing done
  • fold dry washing done
  • dry pots done
  • research (on MN) done

alicecrail · 23/07/2009 16:47

Peppa I found the easiest thing was to have computer/tv off (didn't have a choice really) and do one item at a time eg. all the crayons, all the bricks, all the cuddly toys. Go round with a basket picking up stray items of clothing and put a pile of stuff to go upstairs onto the stairs and you are half way there. I have just got some good advice from another MNetter who said that you should pretend that you are a cleaner cleaning your house. I thought that was quite good.

JustKeepSwimming · 23/07/2009 16:52

  • sort alarm
  • sort Flash on laptop DONE Yey for MN!
ithinkmydaughterispeppapig · 23/07/2009 17:30

Thanks alice I do have a basket, I take it upstairs in the evening and then collect all the things that need to come down in the morning, cups etc and then keep it on the bottom of the stair and put things that need to go up in it. I like the pretend to be a cleaner idea, I will try that one tomorrow because I have just lost the will today!!

I can't be arsed to do dinner either which is really lazy of me because DH cooked it yeaterday and on tuesday we went out for a meal. I have just got the lazy feeling this week

Right off the feed the gang with something simple that goes straight from freezer to oven

PlumBumMum · 23/07/2009 17:33

All I have left on my list is
possibly mop kitchen floor
dry remaing clothes doing
sort at least 2 basket of clean washing putting off

At the minute I am making a roast chicken dinner so hopefully I will still have the energy to tackle washing after

Although mission is to always do all dinner dishes straight after dinner [haha]

Oh and AF is here so I'm glad I didn't buy a test yesterday!

JustKeepSwimming · 23/07/2009 18:30

PlumBumMum · 23/07/2009 19:02

JKS had a feeling it would come today, so glad I didn't buy the test, I hate buying one when its way just to put my mind at ease, much prefer buying one when you really think its going to say positive!

Dinner done
dinner mess cleared up done
pots & roasting tray done
dog & cat fed done

I really am going to tackle the clean washing instead of flopping on the settee when dcs are in bed

off now to play top trumps with dd1

PlumBumMum · 23/07/2009 19:03

stray way in that sentence

JustKeepSwimming · 23/07/2009 19:37

PlumBumMum · 23/07/2009 20:57

Off now to do it
we just read throught some library books

actually 1 for dd2
A chapter of Ben10 for ds
and 2 chapters of The folk from the Faraway Tree for dd2

Now they are all in bed dd1 reading a different novel
got ds a couple of books just above his reading level at school so he is attempting them now in bed and managing quite well,
makes me feel sad that he is growing up but of course pleased

I'm going to go set up the ironing board now

What book are you reading?, I've finally finished the Cathy Kelly book that seemed to take me anage to finish, and moved on to one called Vanishing Act by Jodi Picoult(she wrote My sisters Keeper) it seems good so far.

JustKeepSwimming · 23/07/2009 21:05

All of that reading is so good - well done you and your dc

I'm plowing through the last of 6 books in a sci-fi series by stephen donaldson - thomas covenant - some of the 6 have been brill, some awful. i'll be pleased to finish now tbh. it's a library book and i've renewed it 4 times, as well as going overdue once!
have lots of books in my To Read pile from parents & PIL, whole variety, i read most things.

PlumBumMum · 23/07/2009 21:12

I find Iread quite light hearted books ever since I had the dcs, although I do have the whole Kay Scarpetta series(murder/thriller/CSI type)

I loved reading and school work when I was young, dd1 is the same, its good to do as it means I can gauge how they should be doing in school especially now that alot of children have left our little school ,
I need to keep on top of things to make sure my dcs are still getting the most from it

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 23/07/2009 21:32

Evening slatterns! Thank you for all the Happy Birthdays We have had a lovely day here with the grandparents, the cake I made was a success and DS behaved beautifully and showed off all his new skills

WME - welcome back! I had been wondering if you were going to return to us Hope you haven't got the dreaded pig flu!

FAQ - see you around the board. Make sure to point anyone who has inability to do housework consistantly in our direction

No list today, but all the clearing up is done from the party, I've hoovered, mopped the floor AND put a wash on! I must try housework after I've had 3 glasses of champagne more often

alicecrail · 24/07/2009 08:12

Morning all, will post a list in a few mins. Just wanted to say that DSIL (DH sis) had a baby boy this morning. I am so excited because she has asked DH to be godfather!

Ladygooga · 24/07/2009 09:03

Can't decide whether to go out today or not as its forecast heavy showers here.
