Linen/ viscose mix trousers say dry clean only- I want to put them on a 30 deg wash- would you?

Didn't notice they were dry clean only when I bought them. Is washing them at a v low temp really likely to damage them? Am sure i have done this with similar fabrics before! Advice please before I stick them in the machine....

Oooh another poster recently had a linen/viscose/washing machine disaster.

I wouldn't try it.

Viscose is a bit tetchy like.

ici

Hmmm, thanks SpawnChorus. I am confused though- in the same wash is a 100% viscose chiffony top thing that looks as if it should be gently rinsed in asses milk, but in fact is perfectly happy in my delicates cycle.

I might just chuck them in and cross fingers. They are current season Oasis and not £££ so I cld always replace and might just save the difference in dry cleaning if it works!

I never try clean anything, just pop it in on lowest cycle and hope for the best...then again nothing I own is terribly expensive!
