Swan Hope you had a love time. Mad bet you had a grand time. Camping in this lovely weather
scattyspice Ds & me have movie nights at my sister's with popcorn. At present a pan will have to do us.
GOOD Morning All Hope the weather is as nice for you as it is for us.
Lovely evening with DH meet some lovely new people. Thankfully they had a lot of red wine at this wine tasting (glugging, really)!)and I don't drink red so I've got a clear head this morning.
Already picked up ds from friend. He was fine. My mate is home from home for him which is lovely. I feel blessed that I've got such lovely friend, well it is Sunday after all.
I'll be back with a list.

Starbear · 14/06/2009 10:10

Right list
Hang out washing
Make beds
fold clothes
water plants
get stuff ready for this afternoon
tidy front room
lunch
Going to a cadet parade at Horse guards today.
Wish I didn't agree to go as I would rather spend time in the garden! Never mind ds will like it up town.

wendyredkitchenredspots · 14/06/2009 11:06

Hiya everyone

Had a fab day yesterday. Yoga then dropped dc off at my parents' house. DH and I went shopping and he bought me loads of Lush goodies, and I bought lots of new books (swoon, my weakness) at book shop. Frankie and Benny's where I consumed too many cocktails and too many calories. Then Britain's Got Talent Live show!!! So ... you say Britain, I say talent, DJ Talent says Britain's Got Talent!!!

Sorry for any people who didn't watch it on TV - but it was bloody brilliant last night and I am in a major good mood today - smothered in Lush soap and body lotion and smelling yummy!!!
I haven't laughed so much in ages at Stavros Flatley.

Right I'll stop going on!

To do
Washing on line
empty DW
pick up DC!
shopping for dinner with in laws today
Make choc cake
make strawberry shortcake
Make salads and bread rolls
Consume another week's worth of calories and drink too much wine (probably!!)
Have fun with the family!!!

DH and FIL doing some jobs like yukky drain clearing and bits in kitchen.
have given DH a deadline for kitchen to be finished as I am having one of those Marie Curie tea parties!

See you all later! Star enjoy the cadet parade it will be better than you think! Grouchy and Wolf let me know when tea and cake is happening!!!

Beautiful day here again

Done
Woke up late with hangover (after two glasses
dh already in a bad mood with me before I even emerged in preparation for our usual church fracas

Stormed out of house with one delinquent child ds2 (who then was slightly fidgety but enjoyed church, subverting several other children into drawing pictures of exploding deathstars)
Then we had a nice lemonade etc

Dd is still feverish but dh has taken her and ds1 for a pizza in revenge

So NOW, I have to clear up house which is untouched since after lunch yest, what with tip, swimming and party and dd being ill. Dh refuses to get involved with housework at all, I think some of you know that sit.

TO DO
3 loads of laundry
kitchen worktops
washingup
playroom
beds
flowerbeds
bins
everything.

several loads of laundry

grouchyoscar · 14/06/2009 13:44

Done a marathon scan of my and DB's baby photos. I was a right porky babe Ed thinks all the photos of DB are him, bless

Made lunch for Ed
Made a dozen rice krispy buns

Must do something practical

OP posts:
swanriver · 14/06/2009 14:21

Done
wipe worktops
bins
recycling
wipe table
dw unload and reload
cleared stray books and newspapers from kitchen
watered strawberries (so much watering left to do)

now sitting down to late lunch with ds2
fish, cucumber and broccoli

still hve to sweep floors
and STILL have a SPLITTING headache

we've been looking at photos too Grouchy, wedding and otherwise - dcs just LOVE it.
Well done for scanning, I wouldn't have a clue nor would Dh.

swanriver · 14/06/2009 14:26

Just looking at your list TMH makes me cross, Dh has never cleaned car, nor even driven it! The least he could do is wash the wretched thing!

MaggieTulliver · 14/06/2009 15:36

Hi everyone. sorry to have been awol.

Right. guinea pigs.

Tell me everything I need to know as we have just bought two. eek.

I have a huge indoor cage in dd1s bedroom, with water bottle, food bowl, house thing, ramp, woodshavings all over the base and then hay in the house and in a hay tray. We have been told to leave them alone for 2 days to acclimatise. DDs very excited. Please give me hints and tips as vermin care isnt really my forte. when to clean, feed etc.

grouchyoscar · 14/06/2009 16:08

OK I have

Cleaned out the cat cellar
Relined with paper and shavings
Take soiled litter out
Empty WM
Sort for drying
Peg out
Ironing
Make lunches for tomorrow
Do reading with Ed

Everything ready for morning (My bag, school bags, wallet) House has survived. I have survived, things have been done and next week will be better. I'll start it by going to work tomorrow

galen Surey there is something you can have that is non-drowsey and will help - this is so horrible

Swan I know I am lucky with DH - although this can and do go wrong - he cut through the mowers cable this afternoon and is only going to have time to clean his car, but that is OK as it is the one we are going on holiday with and he has cleaned inside and out and hoovered it

I have

Cleaned the conservatory (tends not to get a really good clean as it is not a dedicated zone)
Also home bleured the sitting room and dinning room, so is less to do tomorrow

Dinner is cooking

Boys are filthy

I am going to start planning the packing tonight - I have a very thorough list on excel saves me having last minute wobbles

Also me and DH have decided I need to talk to the pych about the new meds as they are still making mornings very hard - I am too zoned out, it takes too long to come round and this morning was a nightmare, espeically as I took it late in the day and I have some pink fizz. I am not giving up the little alchohol I have (which is when we are on our hols)

But I am happy about the camping and really looking forwazrd to it and we will book somemore when we get back, I have also discussed me and a friend taking our little ones for a week together over the summer hols (even if it is just to York for the week) and leaving the men at work - they can come and pop the tent up at the weekend and take it down the following weekend

MaggieTulliver · 14/06/2009 17:34

Thanks prof. 2 girls. One white and a bit fluffy with red eyes, and the other is brown and white patches with a smooth coat. They've been hiding ever since we brought them home

Lol, prof. Ok, will scoop.

I have shopping list of:
hairbrush
nail clippers - do you do this? eek, dh might have to.
toy

Bit worried that all the wood shavings will spark my asthma so might look for something else. Any tips? And how often do you clean them? Is it weekly? I thought I would scoop any obvious crap out during the week and then overhaul at weekends.

we dont have an outdoor run yet. I want to give it a couple of weeks so we can expose the cat to them. Not literally but I need reassurance he isnt going to freak. DDs under strict instructions to keep dd1s door shut at all times.

Sorry for the thread hijack everyone.

DDs are like policemen on patrol and yet there is still no sign.

swanriver · 14/06/2009 18:47

guinea pigs sound very sweet

Love your surgical mask and goggles Galen poor you (homeopath perhaps?)

Day has improved with a bit of hard work and teeth gritting and a few paracetamol
tho another meltdown from dd who is really feeling crap I think..

Done
mopped floor
lots of flowerbed attention
given up on cabbages and will eat them tonight and replaced with petunias
supper fried potatoes and salad, rice pudding and strawberries
swept front garden

Do not think I am ever going to drink alcohol again

scattyspice · 14/06/2009 18:51

Maggie - at fluffy GPs.

Mad - camping sounds great. good luck packing, where are you going?

swan - my dh does the bare min too .

Hi everyone else.

Had a nice day out today (but lots of walking/carrying dc). Went to quayside via 2 playgrounds and river. Had lunch sitting outside at tapas place (felt like being on the continent ). then went to Baltic to ride in the lifts .

Lots to do now.
