In the end had eight kids round! And three mums. Got slightly carried away I fear. Should have pretended it WAS someone's birthday! They all played dressing up and disappeared upstairs, then ate some sausage casserole and mashed potato, apart from dd who took advantage of guests to refuse everything except a few twiglets.
Never went to bed with my book, but managed to plod through some chores and cook, iron and tidy. Will read it later It's been great having this busy day.
All very cosy now in this (still messy) house, we are watching Star Wars, not quite raining but that cosy grey feeling when all the green vegetation seems rich and overpowering.
I love the bear cake Tort! It looks very realistic. not teddy like I mean...but exciting. I hope you bring it in with a growl!
Hope football presentation goes alright, ds2 will make it worthwhile. It is so tiring getting ready for a party you have my sympathy.
