Will be back after drop off, but have a busy day, as I am at the hospital again this morning too

gibbberish · 23/04/2009 16:17

at you having sun prof Is miserable here.

ehm anniversary is on Saturday - 17 years Scary. We are going away somewhere but don't know where yet.

grouchyoscar · 23/04/2009 18:23

Ah, thanks for the cake/tea/outrage at the awful woman who comes to visit next door. I have concluded as she is an utter lush and general nasty piece of work I should rise above it, safe in the knowledge I have got it off my chest, Thanks as always.

Today got even more mental, the washer went on the blink Full load in and it would not drain at all. Was resigned to a trip to an electrical retailer (oh joy, not!)when I thought 'empty the drum then see what works' Cue mop, bucket, soggy washing, bowls and jugs. Found out it was a problem with the draining, employ pliers to open the drain bit, free the trapped bit, put back together, load WM and run. Ta-dah, WM is working fine! Something good had to come out of today!

DH is a bit non comittal about the new job, I think the experience of the old place's work practices have left him very cynical. It's a bit weird having him not about again but, never mind, he's working.

I'm rather shattered now. DH has said he'll make tea so I think I can stop for the day TTFN

gibbberish · 23/04/2009 18:28

Wow washing machine engineer - is there no end to your talents grouchy

Off to dd2 and dd3s medal presentation. Have a lovely evening everyone.

TheMadHouse · 23/04/2009 19:38

Have read - Groucy have one of my poppyseed and lemon scones and a nice cup of strong tea on me. Blow her - if she mattered she would understand. I like the direct route like Prof

Pha I could fill the entire screen and there wouldnt be enough. My boys have completly acted up, shown me up and been brats this afternoon - this is not something I would normally say.

DS1 called me stupid and hit me, DS2 has copied him, I could go on, but wont as it is winding me up just typing it

Am going to have a drink, as I think I could do with one.

I also realised that I look like a bad drag queen with a beer belly today . People keep giving me double takes.

Grouchy Take it easy.

Madhouse - it will take a while for all of you to adjust. Did you buy yourself some new clothes? Your shape will now be completely different so you may need to re-learn how to buy clothes to suit.

gibberish - at jewellery

Hello everyone!

Manic day today (when are my days not these days!) I'll tell you all about it another day when I've digested some of it and thought on it!

grouchy poor you and go you! Girl power fixing the washer
mad my DS has been awful today. In fact I have been horrid back to him too. Really bad mother. I think two weeks' of 5 hours sleep a night are really taking their toll on me tbh.

We are moving in on Sat. DH has the day off work tomorrow and we have loads to do to make the house ready to move in - re-laying carpet, fitting new vinyl in the utility room, clearing the garage floor, vacuuming and mopping floors etc. So - possibly won't be on here tomorrow or Saturday but will try and see you all Sunday.

love to you all and big hugs - you are right, this thread is really full of just really special and lovely folk that you can depend upon when you need them.

Night night

Grouchy, I am so impressed by your determination, not least to mend that washer!
TMH, I have completely banned the word "stupid" in this house, the dcs have to ccall me "silly" if they want to insult me, or what is worse "ugly" - I'm hoping this is because they are so well versed in fairy tales not because I am, and even if I was, they shouldn't think I'm anything but gorgeously beautiful.
EHM, I now quite like fighting with people on Mumsnet (being still but a newbie) although I always back down in the end, I fear, and say "all the best" or run away. I sent pictures of my first baby to everyone like you.
Hope your week is going alright Wolfcub in new job.
Separate lunch tables EHM I think because of potential allergies, and food swopping..and extreme envy of crisp eaters. I think you are being very foresighted about schools. We bought our house because it WAS next to a school we liked the look of, and Morrisons, because I didn't drive then...

swanriver · 23/04/2009 23:29

And hope tomorrow is productive Wendy, and ds1 is nice to you as you deserve it!

TheMadHouse · 24/04/2009 09:06
