DB finished - 3,44 well done him!

PlumBumMum · 20/04/2009 19:40

Well done to your DB JKS, but tis it just me or is your lists getting longer???????

I couldn't face any lists today was annoyed at myself for not realising dds form needed filling in, and dh was on phone to BIL who is talking about a wedding in Rome

dhs other db got married in Rome last year and cost us a small fortune for 3 days was not planning to repeat that experience again, I can't wait until they all have children and realise its not so easy to do what you want
Sorry rant over, that was to save me ranting at dh when it might not happen

JustKeepSwimming · 20/04/2009 20:07

Grr at abroad weddings

I am sat eating porridge. Most likely not one of my brightest mood as milk makes the sickness worse and it has a lot of milk in it

I am torn - oodles I should do this morning, including some that MUST be done today... vs coffee with mate.

If I do coffee it means I have to sort orders etc when DS is at preschool and I can't sleep. Or I could wait til they are both home from school to amuse each other and do them then

Gah. Will decide after school run.

Dry washing x 2
Cook dinner
Sort orders
Post orders
email wool lady
email demo lady
work out preschool bill

JustKeepSwimming · 21/04/2009 08:04

Flame - hope porridge stays down

Alice - dishwashers are wonderful inventions

Yesterday:

  • me early night on my own DONE
  • hear noises, disturb burglars, panic, end up with police storming around, see laptops gone, DH home, wait for SOCO to turn up, watch him find nothing, go to bed at 1am DONE

Ho Hum.

  • inevitably spend time thinking over last night Started
  • deal with follow-up calls/visits from police
  • thank neighbours for helping out

Oh no JKS! You win the prize for the worst night! How did they get in?

Good luck with porridge-keeping down Flame.

I was going to get my arse in gear and had into town this morning, but it's all misty now and supposed to be nice later, so I will stick with my sofa for a bit longer.

Drink tea and MN DOING
get up, dressed, etc
washing up
wait for Tesco order to come
put away groceries
make soup
go to town and take stuff to charity shop
find birthday present for aunt
read up for job interview
put away clothes if they are dry
run
write about run on MN
roast chicken

OP posts:
JustBeenBurgled · 21/04/2009 08:36

yes misty here too, hoping for sunshine in the garden later.

through a rear patio door, wrenched it open somehow.
only got the 2 laptops (one old, one new)
and not even the power cables, they'd moved the sofa to get them but then me moving upstairs must have disturbed them.

Comewhinewithme · 21/04/2009 08:44

JKS hope you are all ok . I hate bloody scum people that think they can just trample over peoples lifes .

Flame sorry you are still feeling pants tis crappy . Is there anything you can keep down ? All that did it for me was crackers and ice poles . I really hope it goes soon .

TA are you feeling happier today ?I hope so enjoy your shopping anyway .

Alice it is beautiful here too going to try and hobble down to park later .

Not posting a list yet need to think about it . DP has taken a holiday day I am just so tired .I am waking up about 5 times a night now to wee then lay stressing about everything I haven't done /got yet .
I have never been so disorganised when pg before everything is usually ready and waiting by now .

TrillianAstra · 21/04/2009 08:45

Are you all okay? Can you get the doors fixed today?

OP posts:
JustBeenBurgled · 21/04/2009 08:49

ComeWhine can you sit down and really think what actually has to be done? and ignore all other distractions?

TA - the door locks fine, just need to fix the catches at the top and bottom. or take them off. the police said it's secure as it is.
will have a proper look later, off for pre-school run in a mo.

(can only use DH's PC now so may not be on so much as it's in his study and the boys aren't really allowed in here.
if i come in then so do they

TrillianAstra · 21/04/2009 08:51

Sorry if this is a stupid question but if they got in last night then presumably the door isn't secure?

OP posts:
JustBeenBurgled · 21/04/2009 08:53

it apparently wasn't locked properly

2 options:

  • ds1 unlocked it himself as the keys were in it (stupid i know but so far as we know he can't unlock them)
  • someone else unlocked it and it's been unlocked but shut, with the catches shut for a while....we can't remember the last time we used that door and i NEVER leave it unlocked, esp if the catches are shut that means i've locked it, part of my routine...

who knows?

Comewhinewithme · 21/04/2009 09:06

It sounds really crappy JKS don't blame yourself though .

Do you think it was someone who is known to you? You haven't had any stray Mumsnetters round to visit lately have you ?
.

Momma23 · 21/04/2009 09:08

Hoover kids bedroom and mop floor.
Take all the rubish from under there beds!

Wash bed sheets
Clean bathroom head to toe! x2

Make pastry

If i get all that done today b4 3pm i will be sooooo please with myself.

comewhinewithme
How far pregnant are you?
I agree sit and think what has to be done, let your DH spoil you and relax.

TrillianAstra · 21/04/2009 09:10

Hi Comewhine yes feeling alright today, planning to go out in the sunshine if when it comes out, which I couldn't do if I had to be in work.

Does anyone have an idea of what I can get my aunt for a birthday present? I asked my Mum and her reply was 'she likes Dove stuff'. Is that too boring?

OP posts:
JustBeenBurgled · 21/04/2009 09:11

ComeWhine - no Mnetters no, so you're all in the clear

we are trying to think if someone could have opened it but really no-one who comes into our house is likely.

The police are saying it counts as locked with the catches shut but will have to wait and see what insurance says...

Momma I am 35 weeks going to do a list later . I think I am feeling a bit more stressed because we changed bedrooms round and now everything in ours is all over the place and the wardrobe collapsed . So I really need to get a new one asap and I want a new bed as mine is pants .

TA what about some stuff from lush or the body shop ? You can get dove from boots and it is nice but meh !

Phew at mumsnet been in the clear JKS !

wastingmyeducation · 21/04/2009 09:22

Morning all!

Oh JKS, that's rotten luck.

Hope you feel better soon Flame.

You should know better than most CWWM, but why not find one of those 'things you need for a baby' list to help you focus.

  • Lie-in (til 8.15!) done
  • Breakfast
  • Put washing on
  • Dress DS

  • hang washing out
