You poor thing. This sucks but try and keep in mind the reasons you did this. You will be better soon and this will eventually become a distant memory.

Take care x

scattyspice · 27/03/2009 12:42

Hi all.
Just a quick fly past!

Wendy - I got married at the end of April and wore a fluffy light grey cardy over my dress LOL.

Gibber - Wow huge respect to anyone who can work, home ed and organise a ball LOL! (the ball sounds great btw).

Galen - Child Psychiatry sounds tough! I bet you could have a field day with our kids LOL.

Today:
friend for tea (ds)
put away laundry
clean fridge (DH - Lidl)
boiler man
DS homework.
sort out dh parents (lol).

Todays mantra: I must not be so crabby! .

Happy shopping Mad .

scattyspice · 27/03/2009 12:43

Oh bummer - cross posts Mad poor you you've been through enough already.

EHM · 27/03/2009 12:48

TMH oh no! At least they are keeping a close eye on you & to avoid further problems. Much love to you, dh & your lovely boys. chin up fly lady.x.x.x.

swanriver · 27/03/2009 12:54

How useless and frustrating. You must just want to scream at the situation. So sorry. Nothing is as one expects.

swanriver · 27/03/2009 12:56

Scatty- you are never crabby on this thread, I'm surprised that you are in real life, as you always say nice things to everyone here.

Wolfcub · 27/03/2009 12:58

mad sorry you've had yet another set back, it must be very disheartening but they are treating the infection adn taking it seriously which is a good thing. Hopefully you won't be in for long, sending lots of positive vibes your way.

ds has harry and the dinos, and loves it and also Dinosaur Roar which he loves. Will read harry tonight and hope that dispells any lingering nasty thoughts. Bless him he was so knackered when I left him at nursery and very sad.

Take care TMH x x x

EHM · 27/03/2009 12:59

scatty i 2nd what swan says{smile]

swanriver · 27/03/2009 13:16

how is your house moving situation EHM? any luck with finding rental you like?
very difficult trying to kickstart any new regime even if just to make the phonecall, isn't it?

Now going to sit with dd and watch Madagascar after various compost lugging activities while she slept.

EHM · 27/03/2009 13:51

swan waiting to exchange contracts. buyers solicitors keeps asking for things that don't exsist. Like the plans for the lounge extension, ensuite to our bedroom & bathroom extension? SO I am holding off looking for rental property as all properties we where interested in have gone. One we have a date & i will restart my efforts. just finishing lunch.enjoy the dvd.

swanriver · 27/03/2009 14:42

If they want your house they will buy it without plans..tis just a windup. In the end it's a game of bluff. When we bought this house, our solicitor kept trying to get various proofs of wiring, dampproofing etc, it was all nonsense considering the thing that went wrong was the 100 year old ceiling falling 3 years later.
dd doesn't want film or story and is sleepy again.
School pickup soon so will have to drag her out, yesterday someone dropped the dcs back for me very kindly.

Finish housework now.

EHM · 27/03/2009 15:06

swan its not the plans that don't exist its the en-suite to our bedroom, the extension to the lounge & the bathroom extension. Our house was built 2001 we are the only people to have lived in it. I think its a wind up too. heho.

swanriver · 27/03/2009 16:06

EHM, goodness that is even more weird!

Ddmanaged to totter to school. Others home in v.good mood, enjoying Telly and their Fridayicecream. dd wanted only water, a sure sign of illness.
No swimming

BiancaCastafiore · 27/03/2009 16:10

Good afternoon

I got everything done that needed doing so am pretty pleased and the hosue is looking much better (well, there's some washing still drying which I'll put away later but that's it)
Kids had school lunches today so it's pancakes for their tea this eve Suggested a favourite sausage casserole to dh for supper but what he really fancies is a fry up so I'll eat with him later
Both kids have friends here who are keeping them nicely occupied and I'm just pottering about doing odds and ends with no real motivation!

Just had a text from a friend who thought she was left on the shelf at 38 to say her boyfriend has just proposed so that made me

grouchyoscar · 27/03/2009 17:34

Hello all

Just a quick FLY past Thanks for the thread wendy and what at bummer for Mad send he love from the Grouchy house please Mr Mad and all the best to you and the boys

Thanks for the kind messages for Ed at the hospital. It went well. He is dyspractic and the OT identified him as highly intelligent and was passing activities at a level of a child 3 yrs older Shame he can't sit still and has no attention span!

I'll catch you all this weekend. Love to all

EustaciaVye · 27/03/2009 18:08

Grouchy - Glad it went well. No idea what that diagnosis means. Can he learn/imrpove on the attention span he has?

gibbberish · 27/03/2009 18:20

Hi everyone Just on for a bit before I take dd2 to cheerleading.

tmh so sorry to hear about the infection Hopefully they can clear it up for good this time. Hope you will be out of hospital soon x

galen The girls are 15, 14, 9 and 8. The older two initially went to school but we took them out when they were 7 and 6, so have been HEing for a while now! The youngest two have never been to school.

scatty lol. Honestly no respect due here - esp if you saw how much in a panic I am getting about the ball! Only EIGHT days to go aaaargh! What's really worrying me is that my friend who was going to 'call' the ceileidh dances can't do it now. So I will have to do it myself and I think I will be rubbish at it.. It takes someone with an air of authority I think - something I do not have!

Been at work today. Was great fun - Friday is a dress-down day and it is always a bit more relaxed than usual. My boss was dishing out cream eggs too

Hello.
Scanned thread and see poor TMH has infection. Hope it clears up quickly. Sending lots of love to you.

DD2 had a freind round to play after school.
DS's have gone to their Dads.

Quiet evening ahead i think. Tis pretty cold.

gibbberish · 27/03/2009 18:43

Enjoy the peace tort

Is bitterly cold here I was sunbathing in the garden only a few days ago too!

wendyrednoseredhair · 27/03/2009 18:45

thanks for all your ideas about the hen party. have a pashmina but don't think it will keep me warm! Mum has lent me her black winter coat - not sure yet if I will wear it or not. What a hassle it all seems - i just want to bloody well go and toast a friend who is getting married and there's all this shit with posh frocks and Radley bags !!!

I never swear - must be bad.

Mad once again your situation puts it all in perspective. Who cares if I freeze when you're going through all you're going through - thinking of you loads and loads. And some more.

I am in one of my Frazzled phases. I haven't taken the children anywhere together since before DD broke her finger - end of January!!! Only been to soft and toddlers with dd and nowhere with ds - there's only so much sticking, painting, thomas track etc etc I can take without getting stir crazy. Normally I take them out and about quite a bit. So am feeling very fed up.

Grouchy glad it went well at the hosp.
EHM thanks for kind offer!!! So sweet.

Well I won't see you tomorrow as I'll be stuffed full of posh food and alcohol but see you Sunday lovely ladies.
