How many units of gas/electricity do you use

Just had a bill - covering 17 Dec - 4 March.

Electricity units = 996
Gas units = 565

They are based on proper readings, not estimates. Seems a lot of electricity to me, so I wondered how much other people use?

I'll dig our last bill out later and have a look for you jammy

oh, and there has been a thing on Watchdog recently about the units being confused by the gas and elec comapnies.....ie cubic feet being billed as cubic metres. Worth checking what you meter reads in and cross check with the bill?

I have looked further into in and it seems we used more electricity and less gas in Jan/Feb 09 than in Jan/Feb 08. DH has just reminded me that he had work servers running at home for part of that time, so it is partly understandable, but I think we need to treat this as a reminder to watch our usage.
