swan I've done that with ellie tonight at 5. She was flagging so nice long bath. she is sitting eating a snack on the couch now then milk, brush teeth.stories then bed.
TMH Present wasn't supposed to make you cryhave a lovely evening with dh. I'll be sending lots of positive vibes all day tomorrow. looking forward to seeing you when I am at my mums next if you are up to it
rubyhope you manage to sort out the 4 girls?
galeni agree much better in summer. must be some feet trying to get all of your dc's ready for bed. I don't that one. Ellie always wants to run around naked before, after bath & jump on the bed.which gets her high as kite. I don't allow as much as dh does.
scattyI am really lazy I bought iron on/stick on name labels.Which the preschool had said many times that I am one of the only mums who lables everything
grouchy we are all fine thanks. Toilet Training ellie this week. she is very strong willed for a 2.9 year old! Hope you, DH & Ed are well?
tort hello
bianca we keep missing each other.
herb I have a white board in the kitchen & write on it when something springs to mind. Or I put a reminder note in my mobile. Not sure if that helps?
wendy hope you had nice lunch with friend?
wolf only 2 little mishaps today. I fear it may take longer than expected thoHope you have a good day.
swan lots of yummy food ideas.

have a nice evening All & to anybody I may have missed from my list{blush]

Evening all
grouchy hi! It can be hard to keep track of this thread - I wouldnt stress!
mad sound like youre doing great. sending you lots of good vibes for a peaceful nights sleep and all the best for tomorrow.
swan Yes that's it exactly. It's not the actual bedtime routine as such that is the prob - just the whole 4 hours or so that follows on from school pick up LOL. And scatty yes I think it does get harder as they get older. I think the bottom line is there are too many of them and not enough of me at that time of the evening! eg DS1 wants to tell me the inticasies of the science experiment he did at school, DD1 is upset cause she's getting spots, DD2 has reading to do and needs to find about Obama for tomorrow, DD2 needs to read and do matching words, DD4 is generally acting up to get her share of attention, and DS2 is tired and grumpy - wants his tea and lots of cuddles.....add to that theres to dinner to serve ( usually always mostly cooked before!)then to clear away (6 kids make a lOT of mess LOL), DD1 and DS1 are meant to help but always just argue, DD 2 winds up DD3 and 4 while I try to see to DS2....and so it goes on!Of course then there are the nights when we have to pick up late from clubs, or drop to rainbows/scouts etc... as well! I will come up with a solution though....just need to analyse and plan more!

Right better dash - in middle of bedtime chaos!
See you all tomorrow

wendyredredrobin · 26/02/2009 18:36

Just really zooming in kids in the bath.
Had a long day with my friend and our little monkeys - they ended up staying for tea! So in the end I did pasta in tomato sauce but think it will be veggie stew and dumplings for tomorrow - thank you Wolf and everyone else for your inspirational ideas!

Mad if you pop in best of luck and see you back online very very soon - can you get DH to post an update?!

No time for individuals had such a busy day - was at the bank 2 hours - then estate agents - nursery - Auntie's house - then friend all day - now very tired children bickering in the bath

You get the general idea ...

Just popping in with an 11th hour message for TMH

You are a hugely special lady, a friend to me though we have never met, calm and patient seemingly with so much that life is throwing at you, you deserve everything from here on to go amazingly well, so for you I wish as little pain in your recovery as possible.

How long are you going to be in Hospital?
Huge hugs (I don't care if it is MN'y or not!)

See you when you get back

swanriver · 26/02/2009 19:57

Scatty I was having to make up this exhausting story for dd every night on the adventures of a little girl called Liza Lou, and I cunningly amalgamated her into the Famous Five, and called George Liza Lou and dd has accepted this although keeps reminding me the name is not George!
Galen, you are superwoman.
Grouchy you are also superwoman for taking on another job
TMH, we will feel very odd when you are in hospital and a bit lost. But when you come back you are not to work as hard as you do now.
Greyskull, how did the course assessment go?
Ruby, that's a lovely thing, to go to hospital with your friend.
Wendy hope bank was accommodating.
EHM it takes a while to crack. I still carry a set of spare clothes in my car for the dts.
Herbwoman, hope evening is calm.

EustaciaVye · 26/02/2009 20:28

what do you guys think of this for a summer wedding. I was thinking green shoes and bag, and cream shrug and hat. I cant decide if it is dowdy or cool.

winnie09 · 26/02/2009 20:30

TheMadHouse, I've just read your post on the Wendy Richard thread and wanted to wish you well for tomorrow. Cancer has touched my life and I cannot understand people who think it is ok to say such things. It sickens me. I hope you make a speedy recovery.

Tortoise · 26/02/2009 21:29

GO I have hardly been on FLY lately so don't worry.
EV Think the dress looks fine for a summer wedding. not that i know anything about clothes lol!

ShannaraTiger · 26/02/2009 21:57

TMH good luck 4 tomorrow, thinking of you.

Wolfcub · 26/02/2009 22:20

mad wishing you the best of luck for tomorrow and for a speedy recovery, you will be foremost in my thoughts tomorrow and I will be sending some serious good vibes your way!

done

picked ds up from nursery
dropped ds off at home
went for haircut
came home - baked another cake as I thought yesterdays was a bit flat - turns out that's how it's supposed to be
washed up
watched masterchef
filled cake
washed up
made american frosting
iced cake
scraped meringue and sugar syrup from kitchen
loaded and ran dw
swept floor
cleaned hob, surfaces and splashbacks - I think apart from me the kitchen is pretty meringue free now
