Panckes - should have bought more eggs, discovered that mine are not mini mads when it comes to pancakes - massive more like

They have both been real joys today, so have geven them both a pumpy cushion (red nose woopy cushion) which they both adore - typical boys

evening all!
Have been a bad FlyFriend today - sorry. Only just got on here and not had time to read whole thread- will try to later!
Really busy day - but seem to have achieved nothing - HATE days like that
Few errands this am
DD REALLY needy all day
Hung new lounge curtains
Cleaned lounge
Washing done ( not away yet though), nappy wash on
Been to playground
Made about 500 pancakes (feels like it anyway LOL)
And thats all really

feeling a bit overwhelmed just now. Need to get back into the groove I think. Still recovering from last week!
Going to go and put together some lists for tomorrow, will try to BBL

wendyredredrobin · 24/02/2009 18:35

I have just blown my top to DH and DC about the state of the house. Toys and stuff everywhere and none of it mine. FFS I am not a cleaner!!! [fume emoticon]
Oh well i'm over it now and they are happily in the bath. I've never seen DS move so fast and tidy up! (I am scary when I get going. Poor things)
BBL

Pancakes for breakfast here

I've had a busy day and achieved nothing I need to tidy up- ds party here tomorrow. I am also planning on decorating a Rocket birthday cake once he is in bed.

wendyredredrobin · 24/02/2009 18:53

you're going to be busy tonight then Jas. hope it all goes well.

Wolfcub · 24/02/2009 20:32

evening All wendy ds made those buns with granny a couple of weeks ago, they were a very interesting colour

the new vac arrived - seems ok and lighter than my old dyson although dp seems to think that it is very noisy

done

picked ds up from granny's
took dp to tesco to buy whisky - he has had a very bad day at work
made tea for ds
made pancakes for us
vaccumed a bit, just to test the vac of course

House looks a tip, I really need to try and get on top of it as March is going to be a nightmare month for me with lots of traveling for work.

wendyredredrobin · 24/02/2009 20:41

yes me too Wolf although it is better after my shouting session tonight grin]

dylsmum1998 · 24/02/2009 21:20

i have been in uni today so not much flying.
i have managed

wash up
sink shining
sort dry washing

20 mins of ironing (still more but cant be bothered )

swanriver · 24/02/2009 21:44

today's pancakes went well, meaning they did not STICK to the pan like yesterday's nor were they stuffed (which made children very upset and angry yesterday when expecting sugar and greeted with veg sauce...) Delia's basic recipe works even in a bad frying pan

Supper cooked for dh (thai green curry from a jar and veg and yellow rice (eaten by twins too)

Another fragmented eve, but after a tantrum ds1 went to bed in good humour restored by short dose of Dr Who supplied by Dad. I'm finding it very difficult to cut out screen time Mon-Wed, have got down to 30mins but then invariably a tantrum about some little wrong (he got to watch his programme, and I wanted to watch xyz etc etc) which makes me wonder if I should just go with flow, or be completely draconian and cut it out completely on those days again and play cards with them...Anyone with older 6 -8 years children any ideas on this matter?

Our bedroom look extremely tidy - at least something visible achieved in a whole day's housework.

Now Madmen, and I might look at Enchanted April Thread.

swanriver · 24/02/2009 21:46

Our bedroom looks - sorry

Jas · 24/02/2009 22:35

Swan, do you mean just for the kids or you as well?

My dds are 8 and 9 and tbh the only tv they have watched today has been Dr Who as well.

I haven't deliberately tried to cut viewing time, but getting rid of Sky and leaving just freeview meant they cut down themselves. DD1 still complains a year later though!

I guess it depends how strong you can be and how much it worries you. I tend to have the tv on all day for background noise so would be a bit hypocritical if I turned it off when the dc wanted to watch.

Cake is done Not my best ever, but hopefully ds won't mind.
