mayornaze, as a cleaner I clean bathroom/toilet thoroughly, dust all surfaces, clean kitchen thoroughly including cleaning out fridge etc.. if needed, clean all mirrors and windowsills, hoover everywhere, mop all floors, clean windows inside when needed, ironing if time

I will also happily tidy as i go if needed but obviously more tidying means less cleaning!

I prefer my clients to be out and hold keys to my jobs but if theyare home they usually stay out of the way.

We paid our cleaner £50 for a morning once a week. She stayed as long as it took to make everything lovely and was cheap at the price (IMO). A serious luxury that I miss, but as we moved to the other side of the Atlantic and are no longer a two wage household no longer an option. I think it totally depends on the end job.

I still think, if you pay a really good wage you get a really good job. Obviously there are lots of cleaners who charge less that the £10/12 hour. I do cleaning work and if i am paid a good wage i feel valued and make sure i work as hard as possible. I also feel cleaners should be paid a good wage as most people do not like cleaning and it can be a yucky job, you know hands down toilets, pubic hairs and all sorts of little surprises!! Also you put your trust in them, regarding letting them in your house, sometimes alone, trusting them with valuables and paper work etc.,
