Hi everyone - just popping in to say hello - and sorry not to mention everyone by name ...

Still very much appreciate this thread and starting w/e with a lot more energy than last week ...spring in air here believe it or not... hope everyone has a productive weekend ...

TheMadHouse · 06/02/2009 14:12

I too used to be a magazine junkie and really liked Eve, but alas it is no more.

wendy I hope you are feeling better soon and have a couple of early nights

wolf Green somthing online for selling books, but it escapes me ATM - will check and return

Swan I only have family parties for the boys + 1 friend each, so we do at home. I will only have been out of hospital a week for DS1's 4th Birthday (16 March), so I have an annable Karmel muffin bake thing (£5 in M&S in the sale - Mar 09 exp). They get a pinny, spatular each to keep. He loves baking, both of mine do.

Easy Party Games

Pass the parcel
Musical statues
Musical cushions (safer than chairs)
Baloon keepy up
Make your own pizza - I did this last year (they ate most of it raw)
Best dancer
egg and spoon race (outside if weather good)
Sack race
3 legged race

EV crowns sound cool

Ironing done and away
Played with DS1
Made fish pie with DS1 and spilled the frozen peas - bugger

Need to drop carpet cleaner back at mums (next job)

Then I think I will mop floor when they are in bed

Mad, EV your parties sound fun .

No ironing done as have been baking biscuits with dd (very yellow with lots of sprinkles ). Have been dancing to Joseph (mmm Jason Donovon...).

Cup of tea then school.

Wolfcub · 06/02/2009 15:27

15 days until our meet up ladies. That's the great thing about checking your calendar, you realise when there's good stuff around the corner!

grouchyoscar · 06/02/2009 16:26

Hello ALL

I've been a bad FLYfriend. I haven't caught up with the thread, done a list of individual hellos and just talked about me for ages. I am sorry and I will get with the programme ASAP

And I've been a poor FLYlady as I've done little if anything. I've been printing off application forms for post grad courses then doing my stint at school.

Suprised I'm allowed to stay here

TheMadHouse · 06/02/2009 16:36

Groucy Consider yourself truly chastised.

Wolf Fantastic eh

Been to mothers dropped stuff off
Fish pie in the oven - DS2 keeps grabbing me and telling me "I dont like fish for dinner - I want bread"

DH is on his way home - POETS day

Just the floor to mop, oh and 2 pairs of jeans to collect that I won on e-bay for DS1 (If she gets back to me)

Popping in briefly....
wolf www.greenmetropolis.com for books I think it is.
mad and swan and EV parties at home are so brave! DD 1 is now into "sleepovers" even more scarey LOL Pillow fights at 2am for this years B'day...sigh...
Wendy take it easy - hope your better tomorrow.

Must dash....tea time approaches!
BBL maybe...

EustaciaVye · 06/02/2009 16:53

Grouchy - I have done no flylady routines since Christmas really. A bit as I used to consider myself "a bit of an expert at these things" as Daddy Pig would say.

Tortoise · 06/02/2009 17:15

Not long got home from friends house. Had a really nice time. Was good to chat to a group of adults for a change lol!
Some of them took the kids out for snow ball fight but i stayed in and took it easy lol!

DS's have just gone with their Dad so just me and the girls now. They want to have a little play on the computer in a minute. they don't really get to use it much.

I have had parties at home for small groups. DD2 wants a party this year for her class. Need to think of a party that will keep them all very well occupied. I have seen the boys in her class in action at other parties and i don't want that. They are really rough and violent to each other, i was quite just how bad they were.

I don't buy magazines very often. About one every couple of months. My friend buys about 5 a week!

swanriver · 06/02/2009 17:39

TMH they seem to go thro this very fussy stage, (but your bread sounds an excellent substitute for anything)and then come out the other side eating a strange healthy assortment. In ds2's case raw cabbage and olives a fav, pasta rice, revolted by sauce of any kind, or bits, or potatoes. Ds1 is incredibly greedy and eats everything (except fish)
Anyhow made some pizzas with them. They are rising. sneaked some mushroom and courgette onto ds1's which he may eat by mistake.

To do
violin practice for dd for tomorrow
hang out more laundry
finish rice dish for dh

TheMadHouse · 06/02/2009 17:41

Swan Not used to it, he was never fusy in any way. I think he is just pushing boundrys at the moment.

I am making some porridge, we loved the fish pie

Then bath and nit comb

I think it will be a family bath and dh can help

Hi all.

Have been pulling DC up and down the street on sledges with the neighbours!

DS has Red Nose Day farty cushion from sainsburys - the most fun you can have for a pound LOL.

Still no ironing .

galen · 06/02/2009 18:03

swan / mad all mine are different when it come to food.DS1 not too bad now - was awful when little,DD1 will eat ANYTHING - always has, DD2 will eat hardly anything - the fussiest child I've ever known, DD3 used to be great - getting worse by the day though, DD 4 not bad, and DS2 seems to love everything he has had so far!
They all get fed the same meal though ( with the exception of DS2!) and they know the rules!

So far so good here.
DH home earlier than usual for a Friday YAY - but tells me he has loads of work to do this wk/end - Boo!
Relative peace.... DH in charge - me having 5 mins MN time...

Kids fed, Chicken with bacon and leeks ready to go in oven for me and DH...

Then chill...maybe read book....DH probably working so there goes date night...sigh...

See you all tomorrow.

TheMadHouse · 06/02/2009 18:54

I am shattered, last night musical beds is catching up on me.
