All shades of cream/oatmeal/beige though. The hallway is like an oatmealy cream and very practical to hide dirt, the lounge and dining room a creamy beige, DS is cream with terracotta flecks and we are about to buy a whitish cream for our bedroom and the little spare room.

Otherwise we would have to recarpet everywhere which would be way expensive.

We've just been out to look for an offcut to carpet the study with. I fancied a pale goldish colour but everything looked like poo. We couldn't decide whether to spend £115 (reduced from £400 supposedly) on something we half liked that was not too pooey but quite good quality or £20 on a better colour but was only £60 to start with and was obviously shit quality. Such decisions. We've come home with nothing

Don't by the shit quality one - that's why we're already replacing the (nylon) carpet in the little room and our room - they are so static they create dust - not good for a room that has the computer in it.

Oh good thinking! The static thing would never have occurred to me. I think we'll go for the good quality one now. Thanks!
