Bianca not helpful but my dc's won't eat either. I get stressed just thinking about menu planning, they therefore get what they will eat. Iget embarassed and stressed just thinking about their diet.
Anyway sandwiches eaten
Toddlers went well.
Washing still in the t/d.
I think I'd better get off the computer and do some flying.

BB Tomorrow

swanriver · 29/01/2009 17:54

Taken kids to park for long runaround
Back home and they are watching telly/computer whilst I finish the dustbusting.
Lvngrm Bookshelf has collapsed. Think I need hammer to put it all back together. Books look thoroughly interesting tho' and have found spare car key!! hidden from burglars and from me.

Bianca, there is the school windup, the foodwindup and the bedwindup not to mention the clotheswindup in this house. But not atm tomorrow perhaps.

evening all
wolf ... oh meetup on a sat... may be able to , would have to convince Dh though to either mind some/all of kids or to come too LOL When is it?

Bianca my tuna pasta ( in fact all my meals LOL) is very quick and easy!(and possibly boring but it works for us!) Boil pasta for few mins ( cuts down coking time later!) brown some chopped onion, add tuna and sweetcorn, then add to large pyrex dish with drained pasta. Make white sauce (butter/marg, flour,, milk. Add a few herbs and seasoning ( i use rosemary and tyhme usually)Pour over tuna pasta mixture and mix round.I normally ,make it in advance then pop it in fridge till later. Then just pop in oven for 20 mins or so. I sprinkle top with cheese too and let it brown.
I do similar versions with other stuff eg chicken and brocolli etc...Easy to just pop in oven on a hectic weekday night!

tort hope youre on the mend!

Not too bad here today. Got done what I needed to , though not loads of flying.
DD4 really not well. She was sick just as we got to school for school pick up bless her. All down her coat and trousers. I had spare trousers for her but no coat so had to take her up wrapped in my coat in the buggy. Luckily I always have a sling for Ds in the car!
Has gone to bed now looking very sorry for herself.... looks like no swimming tomorrow...sigh... I am trying really to go swimming !

Feeling a bit frazzled tonight. not sure why....(other than just life with 6 kids LOL) so will read abit tonight then another early night....

Hope you all have good evenings. See you all tomorrow.

scattyspice · 29/01/2009 18:53

Galen - poor dd. I remember ds doing that .

Done:
laundry
wash up
sandwiches
fridge cleaned
meals planned
grocery list made.

Phew

wendythepositivethinker · 29/01/2009 19:21

Hello everyone,
Galen sorry about DD4 hope she's better soon, thanks for slow cooker encouragement - and we're off to York on a Saturday if that helps - didn't realise you were local!
Grouchy So glad you're going for the teaching thing - as you know I'm a teacher and I REALLY miss it - can't wait to get back to it (just not practical at the minute)
Tort hope you're ok
Bianca sure you're doing well getting your dc to eat well - at least you're bothered about it, so many people just feed them junk!
Swan hope your few days DH free is good
Wolf let us know on volunteering work, sounds great
Mad hope no cramp tonight
Sorry anyone I missed!
Been to Lidl today and then soft play this afternoon. Both children strangely still awake despite being in bed ages as they have had no restful time today really and running around all afternoon. Normally sleep like tops after soft play. May have to go up and Lay Down the Law.

Had a migraine last night hence not on here. Had a dizzy turn at yoga last night too. Drank lots of water today so feel better.

Off now to clean up kitchen and then tidy up hotspots etc then may try and watch a bit of TV and give myself some time off for once.
See you tomorrow

TheMadHouse · 29/01/2009 19:39

My two are crying upstiars too - DH is trying to get them to settle - no idea what is happening

galen 21 feb is date

DS1 had a meltdown in the hairdressers - first time ever. Didnt want it cut, wanted it to be long, blond and messey He is going to ring and apologise tomorrow.

DInner was fine with them, as was bath time, but now - well different story.

Washer is on
House is OKish
Pressies wrapped for DH's trainee (it is her 21st birthday)
more hospital toys bought - bargains in sainsburys - insects, dinosaurs, tea set, cleaning set, pan set, stunt cars, 2 red nose day woopee cusions, 2 playdoh cutters. All less than £10 for the lot.
Oh and I got a pirate playmobil set reduce to £5 to pop away for DS1's birthday in March

Pizza for me and DH for dinner, once he can get the boys settled

wendythepositivethinker · 29/01/2009 19:53

is there a sale on in Sainsbury's or something?
Mine finally asleep - yours, Mad?

TheMadHouse · 29/01/2009 19:56

Yes - they had 50% off a lot of the toys.

One is asleep, the other is listening to the wiggles , but I am hungry and MNetting

BiancaCastafiore · 29/01/2009 19:58

Poor you TMH my ds hates and I mean really hates getting his hair cut - he's almost 5 1/2 and we had our first calm hair cut about 2 weeks ago!
Galen tahnks for that. I do mine v similar but with tomato sauce instead of a white sauce. It is one meal both children will eat - next step is to make sure tehy stay sitting up properly! Hope dd4 is better soon x

I have just booked a weekend at Centre Parcs Bit extravagent but the kids have been asking to go for years (we took dd when I was expecting ds). Dh and I are already feeling brighter - just having something to look forward to is A Good Thing It'll be over the weekend of our wedding anniversary (10th) too so a good reason to splash out.
We'll be paying it off for ages though

BiancaCastafiore · 29/01/2009 19:59

~can someone re-invite me to the fb group please; I seem to have lost it...

wendythepositivethinker · 29/01/2009 20:05

It isn't on my profile anymore either, Bianca

swanriver · 29/01/2009 20:17

Everything has gone very well, except for final countdown to bed where dd had screaming fit, ds1 had screaming fit and ds2 got into bed with a seraphic smile and said I am feeling sleepy mummy can you sing me a lullaby (not likely with terrible screeching around) They are missing dad already and his bedtime routine. Should have had bath ready really instead of faffing around with violin practice which they were very keen to do .

Anyway all is quiet now I think...

swanriver · 29/01/2009 20:23

Centre Parcs sounds lovely Bianca, is it the English one? where you have bikes for everything? Anyway, half-term at home is expensive once you add in a few outings and snacks, cafes so maybe it won't end up being that much more.
Galen, sorry about your poor dd, and Wendy your migraine yest. TMH, toys sound great deal.

Goodnight everyone.

Wolfcub · 29/01/2009 21:19

evening
All

done

cleaned kithcen surfaces and hob
took rubbish and recycling out
vaccumed kitchen floor, bathroom floor, hall floor and living room carpet
shone sink
phoned electric company again

went to meeting at LC home - it was really good, really positive and I came away feeling fab until I got home and my dad had apparently been really negative about it and dp was pissed off because apparentyl I forgot to talk to him about it - I thought I had but apparently not

did a quick bit of tidying

put lots of dvds on music magpie for a quote

Jas · 29/01/2009 21:26

Just skimmed todays thread....Why the coffin talk?
(I'm a cardboard box girl, too, but have just left details in with myy will for where to get it (I think))

Grouchy - You strike me as a natural teacher and would probably be an asset to any school, but I wouldn't personally consider it as a career! Both my parents and lots of extended family were infant teachers and my mums total career advice was "Don't go into teaching"

I need something to do, too. Job hunting is a non starter right now, and I've burned my bridges re old job, but ds is three soon and I know how things fly by. He will be at school himself in the blink of an eye.

Bianca I hope you all enjoy it My kids have asked to go, too, but it is not in our price range atm

Jas · 29/01/2009 21:32

BIanca - Madhouse has to do FB FLY invites. Are you sure it has really gone.? It won't show on your profle, but if you click on "show all" groups it is there (or was for me....).

Wolfcub · 29/01/2009 22:04
