Wendy I feel for you, Having to be mummy when you're feeling poorly is so hard. and yep, my DH is often neither use nor ornament at times. The house can wait, have some Wendy time.

Collected Ed from school, came home and

Showered Ed - He fell headlong into a lage muddy puddle on the way home
Got a clean uniform out for him for tomorrow
Made his lunch for him
Made a snack tea for him
Took him swimming with DH
Grocey shop
Load WM and run
Groceries away
Ed in bed

Tea time, got to go

Serious tantrums from grotty feeling 8 year old here earlier, now resolved (but he's having tomorrow off - think he's exhausted by a new teacher and being good in class)
Everyone's fast asleep little ones in contrast behaving VERY well.
Dh didn't want any supper (except bread and cheese)luckily, so we have just had a nice glass of wine. Now he's gone to bed rather cross because tv zapper has vanished into mess of playroom. dd's makeshift Tent is still taking over most of it.

one more load of washing

Playroom is a mess. But I'm off to bed, feeling positive about tomorrow.
