Does the smell of urine eventually fade or get worse?

Our downstairs utility/toilet smells really strongly of urine

We have just been potty training with DD1, and previously used to rinse nappies in the loo, but not had any accidents I can recall!

I have cleaned and cleaned from top to bottom, walls, tiles, doors, skirting, lino, washing machine etc. but the smell is still there!

Does urine just keep getting worse or will it eventually go away?

I would think it would eventually go away. I would try rewiping with vinegar as it neutralises (sp?) urine

have you got carpet in there? That's the worst thing to shift any urine smell from. HG make a really good smell removal spray that you can put on fabrics and hard surfaces and works miracles. My DD threw up her milky breakfast all over my new car and I thought the smell would never go. HG stuff shifted it.

This is the stuff I mean

Thanks for the link. We have lino down now, but for a long time we had bare concrete, which might have absorbed a splash or two. I think I might pull up the lino and painting the floor with concrete paint. Can't think of anything else it could be!

cheers.
