Tell me all about drying clothes in Winter

I have a dryer but it shrinks the clothes even in a low setting or is it my imagination!! Do sheets towels and bits in the dryer the rest on one clothes horse but have more washing than space in the house. I also don't fold as soon as I finish Tumble drying so they are more creased than on the horse. Do you have to be a Superwoman with no time of your own with winter laundry????

that's true roisin, my machine uses a lower spin for the quick wash loads so i always change the setting to a higher spin, you can really tell the difference in how wet stuff comes out.

CuppaTeaJanice I agree but DH is a PE teacher and I have to wear a clean shirt everyday for work (its in the contract)DH also hates DS looking mucky (where is emotion for eyes rolling)If I'm at home I wear an apron for house work and cooking and wear things two days if I haven't sweating. We live in an age where a little dirt is a bad thing. Sadly people make you parnoid if you don't join in. Jeans I only wash mine when I see the dirt.

We're lucky to have an indoor line (well 4 all beside each other) that run the length of the utility room and things dry overnight in there. I'm like roisin too and make sure it's had a really fast spin before hanging it - it really does make a big difference

Those Lakeland heated tower driers sound interesting but how hot do they get? Just wondering in terms of having an inquisitive toddler around - is it radiator hot, hotter or cooler? Thanks!
