Thanks for the skype tip Wolfcub but she has dodgy broadband connection in NZ, apparently you can't get unlimited connection so one skype call uses up a month's worth of broadband or something. Would be better! My best friend and I do email several times a week but she has 3 dds and a very hardworking DH who isn't in much, and when he is in is on the laptop working, so she doesn't get much computer time!
DS got up from the sofa yesterday, we went to MIL's house about 4 pm, and he was back in bed voluntarily at 4.15pm. Got him up for his tea, thinking he was just tired, but clearly he wasn't well. anyway he was sick and then laid on the sofa for a couple of hours. MIL not surprised, as a boy DH was sick about once a fortnight on average, he apparently was always sick when overtired or over excited - and still is(luckily not the over excited bit now lol ) so she's used to sick!
He went to bed at 7 pm at home and slept all night til 8.30 pm, no more vomit yet. He is hot though and just lying on the sofa looking dejected - he NEVER does this, even when he is ill. Mind you, he is hardly ever ill so I don't get much experience of it with him.
DD is as bright as a button especially as she got a lie in - he usually wakes her at 6 am as they share a room.
Planning on having a very quiet day and getting lots done - in a restful sort of way. Going to Lidl to do the shopping, in case ds is at home ill tomorrow and I can't go tomorrow.
George had a friend over this week whose mum is only just 21! (i'm 34) It was an interesting afternoon chatting to her to see life through someone else's eyes - she was truly amazed at how we live i.e. to her it all seemed like luxury even though to us on one salary it's impoverishment. Our cursed rented house we hate was a palace to her with one downstairs room and no bath in her bathroom, and no central heating, only a calor gas heater. Anyway I offered to help with her studies (I'm an English teacher) as she is 3 days a week at college doing an Access to HE course - she is one determined young woman, wants to be a primary school teacher and as she says, make a better life for her dd. So I'm off round there to give her a lesson tonight.
