, waits for plumber

It's the hot tap that's broken outside - constantly running and draining the system.

Rather you than me Laurie, especially tonight....has the plumber arrived yet?

thats a bugger
I must admit that at 11pm last night I remembered I forgot to shut off the water to the outdoor tap in the summer. Then I got all worried about the pipes in the loft.
I;m not happy unless I have a worry!

I hope the plumber comes super speedy and that its ok. brrrrr for you.

He's been

New taps on the outside - heating back on.

Really nice guy but a heart-stopping £77 for the hours work.

£77 is cheap! Bloody hell - round 'ere, it would be £90 just for him to knock on me front door

Hooray - that was fab and quick. A good plumber is worth their weight in gold. Only give his number out to good friends!

The pipe has just burst underneath the taps (not his fault, its just bloody freezing) so I have to get him back out.

And the washing is trapped in the washing machine that leads to the pipe. And I have 6 loads of washing to do on Friday. And I know he's not available again til next week.

Excellent. Why exactly do things all go wrong at once?

oh no!!!!!!!
When he fixes it can you ask him to put in an isolating valve thingy so that you can turn it off at the house when its this cold?

Drips not that bad - its on the 'into' pipe on the washing machine so now its turned off it's only leaking - and it's in the outhouse outside so no need to have the heating off now.

Thankfully.
