Any ideas on how to get rid of evil candle smoke from my painted walls?

Evil candle spewed out smoke on NYE and my living room walls are BLACK with it.

The paint is flat matt emulsion and it seems to just move around whe I wipe it, rather than come off.

Any ideas?

What are you using? Try a bit of liquid soda crystals diluted on your cloth. Beware though, you'll probably end up with one very clean spot and you'll have to do the whole wall then!

Baby Wipe? don't scrub too much!
