Grouchy - yes I really do have 6 DC LOL ranging from 10 to 9 months. They are my excuse for the state of my house LOL
So progress report on today.... Kitchen still looks lovely, and have done the utility. Downstairs toilet now lovely, hallway cleared of all junk and floor mopped.Several loads of washing done and put away.
On the downside - many more loads of washing still do to do, Dining room needs excavating, lounge need tidying - again - and cleaning. And as for the entire upstairs of the hous e- well lets just say I had to make sure not to linger up there today for fear of getting too down!
So I plan to try to get the downstairs to a reasonable state tomorrow, and hopefully finish off the washing. Not sure when I'll get to tackling the upstairs!
Oh and the shoes came off at about 4pm! Think I may invest in some more substantial slippers, or maybe comfy trainers or similar...And actually my hair has been a haystack all day so I really need to tackle that I think!
Right off to see what day 3 holds for me! - And I think you're all great BTW!

Evening all

I went out and left DH with the mini's who were in fine fettle and full of energy. DS1 is not doing well without his regular excercise.

Galen 6 children - how lovley. Fly will really help you keep on top of things.

I am all done and 3 of us have just done a room rescue of the kitchen - DH was too busy taking photo's of the boys to clean (he is at work normally when we all clean)

Washer is on
Baths and PJ's are done

So just the boys to bed and ironing moutain to attempt to climb again.

Greyskull Well done you

Waves to everyone else and welcome back EHM boys like their books lots too - thanks

well off to read a story to the mini's once DH has finnished reading them a joint one

Took Ds2 on long trek today, and returned at 3.00. Other children still refusing to leave house aaargh so they stayed with very fed up ill dh who heroically kept telly off all day (major source of present bad humour I fear - too too much in last week ds1 spending all his time reading radio times and writing schedules of entertainment) and played card games, conversed etc.

Then took dd out, and finally dh is taking ds1 round the block. In fact he has not come back rather like Captain Oates...
6 year olds are now in bed ASLEEP.

Will now confront house, lasagne making etc.

Swan Sorry that you still have the lurgy in your house - hope the cold snap helps.

I have scaled the ironing pile and put it all away
Washer is on again
DW is loaded
Clothes out for tomorrow for all

We are going for a day out tomorrow to a local market town with good walks and quaint shops. will take the Phil and Teds (which goes to a friend at the end of the month), so that DS1 can go in if his shoulder is giving him gip.

Hello AnneofAvonlea & spiderplant - seems everyone has changed their names! Would you believe I still haven't done my sink, last night the dishwasher was full and still things on the draining board so I went to bed (dishwasher takes forever! ) and only loaded it again now ! Just going to get DH to fish his supernoodles (midnight snack! [boak]) from the plug/drain then I shall go soak it. Phew, good job it's just babysteps for now, I may explode otherwise! Aaaaand I have a dishwasher since last flying, and a nearly finished new kitchen so there shouldn't be any excuses. I do have 2 bottles of different sink shiners so am excited to get stuck in Aaah, it's so nice to sit and talk about cleaning rather than doing!

Hello everyone - I will be making an attempt to join you by following the babysteps. I always feel my house if more untidy and not as clean as all my friends houses and am determined to get on top of it. Unusually DP shined the sink last night but as I have only just read Day 2 babysteps (ready for tomorrow) I will have to leave getting dressed to my shoes (or in my case my slippers!!) until tomorrow morning. Will ensure draining board cleared and sink shined before bed tonight though

Welcome littone

Yes, thanks Scatty, we drove to the bank and made the payment so I should be ok. It was a bit of a hassle, but I was not convinced there was any other way to avoid paying charges.

DS is still up

I've mopped the floor and done a food shop this evening, but finding it very hard to FLY with dp in all the time. He is much better at cleaning than me, and has much higher standards, but won't tidy first. He just piles all clutter in the washing basket and leaves me to sort it

Job hunting is a non-starter DP is in unco-operative mode He doesn'tr want me doing cleaning/ care work, and with no up to date qualifications or skills that leaves very little else.
I know it isn't up to him, but he is the childcarer if I am working so I have to have his help to make it work.

Given dh a powerful dose of Chinese Takeaway, his headache is miraculously cured. DS1 has eaten some chicken and seaweed and hopefully now fast asleep after agreeing to new regime of no telly on Monday-Wednesday in termtime. That still leaves 4 days enough even for the most hardened addict, and a bit more space at beginning of week, for homework and running around outside (v.important to sanity of dcs.)
Hope you have a lovely day out tomorrow TMH after such a lot of hard work, and a productive/relaxing weekend to everyone.
