HELP, black marker pen on walls and doors

DS 1 has just covered the hallway and kitchen in black marker pen.

Need help and tips to get it off.

Start with a soft cloth/sponge and washing up liquid, if this doesn't remove it try ciff, but only rubbing lightly rather than scrubbing so as not to remove the paint!

I'd remove the paqint and marker with turps tbh and repaint that area. Do you have any paint left over from decorating?

We once left a marker pen on a window sill and it leaked. stripping the paint was the only way we got it off. Though that was a permanant marker.

No, we're in a rented property. Going to have to buy some paint and repaint the whole of downstairs.
