Morning all

Still have the remnants of my migrane, but have a busy day ahead, so

It is time to start an afternoon/evening routine you know this is what keeps me sane

We are swishing and swiping basically it means just giving the bathroom a cone over each time you use it. Great idea

what is a S&S

So Routine wise it should look a little like this:

Morning Routine

  • Get up and get dressed doing your hair and face
  • Make your bed
  • Looking at your posted reminders in the kitchen and bathroom
  • Reading 2 minutes of reminders
  • Recognizing the negative voices and changing them
  • Put out your Hot Spots for 2 minutes
  • 5 Minute Room Rescue (pick any room in the house) set your timer and go!
  • Laundry
  • Mission

Before Bed Routine

  • Keep your sink shining
  • Lay out your clothes for tomorrow
  • Put out your Hot Spot
  • Laundry
  • set a regular bedtime and stick to it

At work this morning.

TO DO NOW
Make beds
I load of laundry
Make white cheese sauce for haddock pasta
Clear breakfast
Buy fruit from shop on corner
If time before school pickup simmer some old veg from bottom of fridge into nourishing veg soup.

A very chaotic last few days. But still seem to be managing to find school uniform in mornings thanks to zero tolerance of stray sock/tie-itis. What's for dinner seems to be an excellent strategy, preventing several unnecessary panicky shopping trips.
Getting dressed first thing is not working really, as requires too much time when kids are racing around asking for breakfast, central heating, sellotape and conversation.
Does anyone else have this problem? Bath the night before the answer, or sleeping in half one's clothes?

Have missed this thread, and see it really helps focus, despite time spent ON COMPUTER.

scattyspice · 27/11/2008 14:58

swan i always bath the night before so no need to shower in the morning.

Hi all BIG SYMPATHIES for those with cold houses It is freezing here. I have now lit a fire after having to raid the small change to buy a bag of coal, I don't expect it will last very long though.
I've been on the phone to the bank trying to reduce charges on my account....failed miserably How do they think they can get away with such astronimical charges!? I'm seriously considering persuing a claim to regain all past charges.

I'm having a very hormonal day today.
I received my final letter from the hospital today. I'm going in on the 8th to be sterilised. I'm looking forward to it and dreading it all at the same time. It gives you a list of all the things I need to take....including nightie and dressing gown and slippers and clean "panties" TBH I thought I'd be in and out so to speak...but looks like I'll have to be in the whole day and travel home in my nightwear!

grouchyoscar · 27/11/2008 16:33

Wow,this thread gets very busy very quickly

Hello. I'm back!

Lots of laundry stuff done today as well as poster painting and the cleaning up afterwards

Just taken Ed for his dental check up and...Flying colours, good brushing, strong clean gnashers and gums He hardly lets me brush his teeth so I'm proud of him.

Don't know what's happening this evening. DH is working late so a me and Ed tea I think

Jas · 27/11/2008 16:43

I have cooked two dinners tonight (pandering to kids likes) and not one of them is happy

Ludaloo - I claimed back bank charges but I think it is suspended now while it goes through court. MSE has up to date info.
and for you though. It is soo unfair, and is yet another way of punishing those less well off to start with.
8th December? That seems soon!

Yay! for shiny toothed Ed!

House is clean (ish)

Jas · 27/11/2008 16:48

Read this.....looks like he is saying put in a claim now even though it will not be dealt with until at least next year.

BiancaCastafiore · 27/11/2008 16:51

Ds has a freind back and all hell is breaking loose - I am counting down the next 13 minuites till friend is collected.

GO Well done to Ed for great teeth.
Bianca Has peace returned?
Luda 8th is very soon. That is the day before i am (hopefully
) having my gall bladder out! Got to go in Monday for blood test etc.

Feeling a bit better this eve. Will try and eat soon. Only had a cereal bar today. Nose is still runny!

Mufti tomorrow at primary school. then xmas fair after school. Have told DC i only have a few spare pennies. Bet they will still ask for more!

tortoise · 27/11/2008 17:45

TMH Sorry he can't fix your boiler.

ludaloo · 27/11/2008 17:59

Bianca Hope visitor was picked up promptly!
Work sounds hectic but at least it all helps before xmas

Jas thanks for the link. I'm going to have a good read. How did your claim go? did you get it all back...did it take long to do?

tort Ooooh we will both be laid up at the same time then by the looks of things! Good luck with the blood tests and things. I expect it will be quite a relief for you to have it taken out!
I'm just glad to be going in and getting it over and done with. It will take a lot of worry and stress out of my everyday life once it is done. I'm struggling with contraception and really don't want more children, so hopefully I can relax about things a lot more after the op.

TMH lol at the plumber looking about 10! Sorry he couldn't fix it Hope he works it out!

tortoise · 27/11/2008 18:24

Luda Yes it will be a relief. Xmas dinner will taste extra good lol! Really worried about leaving DD's though. At least DS's have their Dad to stay with over night.

TheMadHouse · 27/11/2008 18:43

Plumber is still here, at least he is persistant if nothing else. I have spoke to his MD, so I am inpressed if nothing else.

It looks as though we may have a temporary fix and that someone will be back with more parts tomorrow
