A pint of Guinness looks good anywhere!

Books. I always feel that a room without books is somehow sterile and lifeless.

Potplants. Stephanotis is very good: easy to care for, with beatiful dark green leaves and wonderfully fragrant white flowers.

Colourful curtains or voiles. Ikea!

drape some fabric round the windows in the living room, i remember when i moved in to my house i had furniture and mats and all sorts of nic nacs but the room still felt really bare with out curtains so we improvised until i could afford nice curtains.
