Hi there.

Had a crazy day yesterday, had to get AA man out to work to get me home (ignition broken now ) car abandoned at garage! Hope not too pricey as I really need to keep the car going for another year (its 14 years old though ).

Tried to catch up.
Why has everyone name changed? Whats been happening?

Tigger how old is your DS1? Sounds like the teacher is taking an interest. My DS is in yr1 and I think they are starting to make propper friends and form groups (they all seemed to play together last yr) its complicated eh?

To do:
drop car keys off at garage
parents eve (yikes!)
hoover
laundry

BBL

DD2 refused to go to bed but fell asleep on the sofa in front of the TV.

In half an hour I've managed to get my winter jumpers into my wardrobe, find the hats and scarves ready to bring downstairs. Get a bin bag full of toys for the school fete coming up, and also load a bin bag worth of stuff onto freecycle

Off to watch neighbours in a bit.

Bewilderbeast · 14/10/2008 13:46

grouchyoscar · 14/10/2008 13:48

Got disturbed by a bloke from Oxfam who politlely chugged me on the phone! Also got the post and...

...I've got a job interview

Hope it comes to something in the end

There's a programme on Radio 4 about Louis Armstrong's 'What a wonderful World' quite possibly the finest record ever. Think I'll have it for my funeral tbh (when it happens that is, I'm not being morbid)

TheMadHouse · 14/10/2008 14:00

I am having a productive if sickley day at TheMadHouse.

Me and DS1 have sorted through the dinning room sideboard (we were looking for his letter formation cards) - so that has been decluttered.

DS2 is napping - yippee (he could do with it as DS1 woke him at 5 by being sick)

I want Street Spirit by radiohead at mine and DH said that he would have to have brown eyed girl too. We talked about this a lot after my dad died. As he had always wanted to be inturned in mums coffin and just assumed she would die first - but she didnt left us all with the dilema of what to do

Funerals , someone else can plan mine lol.

Congrats on the job interview Grouchy, when is it? (what is the job?)

Jas · 14/10/2008 17:04

I've done basics and cooked a nice dinner.
Added to our ever expanding debt to pay for petrol for dp to get to work tomorrow. If When he gets paid we are going to have to pay crappy comission to cash the cheque

No funeral here I know I will die eventually, but will be buried in a cardboard box if my plans are followed
My mum has had the music for hers planned for as long as I can remember. (She is a church organist, and knows what sounds good!)

Yay! for the interview.

We left the church to this for my dad

It was his favorite song - so was quite apt really. He would have loved strickly this year . We were suprised the vicar agreed actually

DH has arrived home and they are all building castles out of megablocks.

I need to pop out and get some milk, as we will not last till tesco order tomorrow night (thats over 30 pints this week)

TheMadHouse · 14/10/2008 18:19

One of DH's dearest friends had smoke on the water - it was so him. In end end everyone stood up and cheered and had tears in their eyes.

Music should mean something.

We had I vow to thee my country at our wedding rather than the wedding march, as I loved it

Afternoon Evening everyone

Would have popped back earlier but been in the bedroom department

grouchy congrats on interview, what's it for?????
Mad are you feeling any better?

What's with all the funeral talk???

Jas at having to pay commission, tell dp to try and get them to top it up to cover it maybe, since it's their fault you didn't get it on time.

List just about completed, MIL visited & loved her wonky cake , tea cooking & I'm knackered!!!

Tea, shower and early one for me I think. Night all xx
