Am bored! Chilling in front of soaps with a bottle of vino with oh. Going to surf the recipes section I think, find something new and exciting.

Catch you all over the weekend xx

Jas · 26/09/2008 20:46

I'll be thanking crunchie when it is next week and fil goes home....how can he spend 7 hours reading the paper?!

lucysmam - You are being taken advantage of by Js parents!

ludaloo - Still no w/m.

tort - I'm so glad you are getting your op sorted. It will be done in next to no time, and it is so much better to be able to make proper plans for the children instead of having to be rushed in and rely on ss to sort them out.

The house is tidy and clean and I feel rubbish. I've cried the last two days over silly things, as I'm so anxious at the moment I need to get us more secure...I'm not eating or sleeping properly atm.

DP has managed to get a new window from a neighbour today who is having their old wooden one replaced, and it fits exactly to relace our kitchen one which is totally rotted away due to being dripped on constantly for the past two years. He's also fixed the leak!

EustaciaVye · 26/09/2008 20:53

Jas - message me on facebook if you want to chat.

Jas · 26/09/2008 20:56

Thanks EV

Jas · 26/09/2008 21:03

Not sure about rl names any more.....do you have a sore throat?

lucysmam · 26/09/2008 21:08

Jas I thought so too. Oh is going to have a word at footy with his dad on Sunday & if they don't come round Sunday night then not having him any more

tortoise · 26/09/2008 21:11

jas Sorry things are not too good for you at the moment.

lucysmam · 26/09/2008 21:16

would have gone on to say I'm sorry you're feeling anxious, as well! But oh 'attacked' me for a kiss which resulted in me being tickled. What's making you so anxious (if I'm not being too nosey, if I am then tell me to mind my own business )

I have munchies & severe boredom! Found a couple of recipes to try out over the next week though . . . just going to look for a cheesecake recipe now

minorbird · 26/09/2008 21:20

Evening all, jas sorry to hear you are still feeling low!

I have had an easy afto, well, as easy as a 3 year old going through tantrum phase can be! 2 hours of screaming! Got my pins up now though and on the laptop nattering and surfing Mumsnet! Small pleasures!

See you fellow fly ladies over the weekend. x

BiancaCastafiore · 26/09/2008 21:22

Busy, busy, busy here. Work mostly - loads to do which I am not keeping up with v well, I still have more to do this evening!

Jas sorry you're having a hard time. Anything we can help with? x

Tort glad your op is sorted. I did see your text the other day but can't reply cos my phone is knackered

Must go - I have emails to sort through.

Jas · 26/09/2008 21:29

Ah, well, dp is self employed and hasn't been paid enough to leave anything after petrol and food for 2 months, and now has no work at all
I can currently not see a light at the end of the tunnel. He usually finds something quickly when he needs to, but can't get anything at all lately

I also have fil staying, too which isn't helping. He hasn't changed his clothes for a week, smells a bit and is sitting on the sofa bed...ie our bed! I'm wondering if I can get away with changing all teh sheets in a bit without offending him.

On the positive side, things with dp are good He has been lovely and supportive and is helping alot more with the kids than he ever has before.

Jas · 26/09/2008 21:30

Do you know anyone in Essex/North London looking for a chippie?

BiancaCastafiore · 26/09/2008 21:33

that's tough Jas. My dh has work available if your dh was a sparkie
No idea what to suggest re whiffy FiL!

Jas · 26/09/2008 21:34

I'm planning on staying out as much as I can over the weekend. I think he is going home on Monday.

BiancaCastafiore · 26/09/2008 21:48

Sounds like a good plan. I think the weather is supposed to be nice over the weekend isn't it?

Jas · 26/09/2008 21:49

Yes. My friend is having a party for her ds (2 tomorrow) so I have a good excuse, too.

BiancaCastafiore · 26/09/2008 21:52

That'll be fun then Get out, spend time with your friend and eat party food Perfect!

tortoise · 26/09/2008 21:52

jas That sounds really hard for you. No idea re; FIL. Can you febreeze him lol!

I am bored out of my brain! Might just give in and drag the bed out soon. Another lonesome night!

Bianca Glad you got the text. Sorry to hear your phone not working. Can you get a really cheap one to keep you going for now?

tortoise · 26/09/2008 21:53

I have to get DD1 new school shoes tomorrow. She has been using ones from last term. they were still ok and fitted fine so she didn't get new ones for sept.

BiancaCastafiore · 26/09/2008 21:56

sorry Tort. I should come and chat but really ought to go and get on with sorting through the work emails. I only have 2 more days with my dad around to show me the ropes before I am left in sole charge of the business for 3 weeks

tortoise · 26/09/2008 22:04

It's ok Bianca I know you are busy. You need to spend time with DH when he is there as well as doing your work.
Things will get better for me one day. maybe one day i will even be moaning about a DP!

Jas · 26/09/2008 23:28

I have clean sheets

I hope you get shoes ok tomorrow Tortoise. I bought both dds new school shoes in August, and dd2 has worn crocs to school most days, dd1 trainers. I've lost the strength to argue about it any more and the school don't seem to mind.

DD2 went in brown flowery tights, blue crocs and a pink flowery jacket today. She did have a blue school dress on too, but you really had to look to find any hint of uniformity!
