DD has been sick all over her high chair and it smells really bad, I cleaned it 3 times already...

Euw, been there smelt that. Biocarbonate of soda, only thing for it.

Put it outside to air tomorrow. You might just think you can smell it now tbh. Also if it is still wet the smell may well be lingering.

neat pure tea tree oil

ledodgy · 20/09/2008 21:36

If you have a dishwasher stick the high chair cover in there.

Nat1H · 20/09/2008 21:36

spray it with febreeze

giraffescantdancethetango · 21/09/2008 11:32

any luck?

LaTrucha · 21/09/2008 11:43

I found it was the straps on mine that kept the smell. I put them through the washing machine and they were fine.

mamachat · 21/09/2008 15:49

it is also the straps opn mine, it is a wooden one that can eventually turn into a table and chairs so cannot take the cover off...

Where in the supermarket do you usually find biocarbonate of soda? last time i had a quick look and could not find it... what else can it be used for??

You can also use biological washing powder, dissolved in boiling water so it is quite strong (1 tablespoon to 10 tablespoons boiling water, swab it on, let it rest an hour then rinse it off).
