Oh, and you can also set it to stay on the "overnight" temp permanently, with just one click, which is good for holidays as it stops the temp from dropping too low.

AMumInScotland · 17/09/2008 13:48

And you can change the temp just temporarily too - so if you get back in earlier than usual, you can bump up the temp without messing up the normal program.

Can you tell I like it a lot?

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/09/2008 14:27

Can't be arsed to read the links. Does it work with any boiler (ours is oil fired range that does water/heating/cooking)?

AMumInScotland · 17/09/2008 16:07

I think if you have any sort of room thermostat in your circuit, then you can replace it with one of these - it just sends the same "more heat please" and "turn off now" messages to the boiler that an ordinary thermostat would. It's just thinking about it a bit more first!

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/09/2008 16:35

But our boiler currently turns off when it reaches the lower of the temp that the boiler is set to, and the temp that the oven is set to, so can't see how we can replace a cooking temp with a new room style thermostat .

AMumInScotland · 17/09/2008 16:38

That doesn't sound like it would work then, it would only really replace a room thermostat I think.

I've just had a new combi boiler with this type of thermo/timer. I can't get the damn thing to come on now! It worked for a week then my aunt/landlady/neighbour came in and turned it off for me and I can't get it back on again!! Need to get the plumber (bil) to come back and teach me how to work it!! I like the on/off types!!

i have a fab timer

i can have unlimited (i think) on and off times, and can have different times on different days if i want to

i can group it as weekdays / weekends, every day, or programe each day individually ... with as many ons and offs that i like
