Come on it's a horrible job, is anyone going to join me for moral support?

You have to clean them out?

nannynick · 16/09/2008 16:24

Oh that reminds me, about time I cleaned the filters on mine.

Should anyone have lost their dishwasher manual and need it to find out where to locate the filters, try looking here which gives links to many manufacturers sites containing manuals.

Dishwasher done this morning and oven was done last week. [New kitchen emoticon] (see my profile pics.)

Whenever I see these threads I always feel the urge to check my dishwasher filter and it is always spotless. I think it must be because MIL washes everything up before putting it in the dishwasher (and then washes and dries everything coming out of the dishwasher in case the machine hasn't made it clean enough) which counteracts all the other times it gets normal use.

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 19:16

so she washes it twice if it's going in the dishwasher?
But presumably once if not?

Yes basically. It's a good job she hasn't got a dishwasher herself or all her crockery would be wafer thin

StealthPolarBear · 16/09/2008 19:19

lol
my mum used to put dishes I gave her back (clean) in her dishwasher "because we didn't have one"
Presumably that means we are sub standard washers, or all her stuff was below par for the erm...30ish years of her life she didn't have a dishwasher!
