just getting DS1 off to bed, and having a break then I'll be carrying on - reckon I've got at least 2/3 more 15 minute blitzes just to make the rest of the lounge/diner and kitchen look ok

Having a break sounds good!

definitley - in my defence (of the mess)

I've been out almost all day every day so far this week - so once I've been back with the DS's - and they've finished trashing it more and gone to bed I've been too tired to do anything about it

I've tidied and cleaned this evening.
The place was a complete pigsty and my mum's coming tomorrow. So I enlisted the boys' help and we've done the kitchen, breakfast room, lounge, their bedroom and playroom.

Phew! I'm really pleased with myself and them.

I wish I could motivate myself to do a bit every evening though, but I'm usually so tired after work I just can't be bothered.

I have to do it, its has to be imaculate (or as near to) because I'm a childminder and I need it to be clean for dc's the next day, don't want them crawling on a dirty floor or parents coming and it being a total tip, I'd be mortified thoguh I have warned them the tidiness might slip over the summer hols when I've got more dc's and am too tired at the end of everyday to keep it this tidy!
