Smell of rotten spuds - barf

New potatoes had partially liquidised in the packet. I tossed at arms length towards the rubbish sack and the bag split, spilling soggy yukky rotten spuds and vomit inducing fluid all over the floor. How the hell do I get rid of the smell from a wood floor , whole house stinks now.

i used to work in a green grovcers on a weekend as a teenager and one of my very important roles was to bag up the spuds from a huge sack into 3kg and 5kg bags. With a 5kg bag (empty) on one hand as 'protection'
It is NOT a job you want to do. GYou have to almost get your head into the bottom of the sack when it is almost empty to get the last few bags-worth out and the stench of a rotten one is still with me nearly 20 years later!!
