A new tenant moved into the flat next door to me late on Sunday night. By Monday morning - yes, literally overnight! - my flat and the communal area stank very strongly of weed. I think they must have had a weed bonfire inside...
The landlord insists that they have been warned and that this won't happen again, so hopefully it won't be an ongoing problem. But I need to find a way to get rid of the smell.
I thought that it would have gone by now, but it's still really noticeable. (I have had a visitor this morning who immediately commented that the place stinks of weed so I know it's not just me fixating on it.) I've got windows open and I've washed all soft furnishings and the coats that were hanging on the back of the door. I'm going to steam clean the rugs. I have already mopped the hard floors.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for getting rid of the weed smell? I feel like I must have missed something obvious because the smell just won't shift!
