I saw them recommended on here quite a while ago and was intrigued. Finally bit the bullet and ordered one, now it has arrived I adore the little creature it's like having a lovely useful little pet and has really helped me to keep my floors clean! Out of the 5 rooms downstairs 3 have hard floors and so bless him he's working hard.

It's also like having a bit of company when I'm doing the housework, really feel we were meant to be together! (sad, sad woman emoticon)

lol - does he have a name?

hellogoodbye · 28/06/2008 20:07

Whats the robomop? Please tell!

foofi · 29/06/2008 08:18

Is it really any good Iceandslice? I never use my roomba these days as it's much quicker to hoover up the mess myself. How does it work with filling/emptying water? Where did you buy it from?

Love2bake · 29/06/2008 08:31

Can you show us a link to the one you have.

I would be V interested as would like one too.

Iceandslice · 01/07/2008 09:02

Ha ha no he doesn't have a name but maybe I should think of getting him one! (Definitely a him though, not a her)

I bought mine from here but their ebay shop, it was much cheaper on ebay. (£20 I think)

It's not like a roomba foofi, its only for hard floors and doesn't vacuum. It's a bit like an automatic swiffer

The great thing about it is that ok it might take 1/2 hour or so to do one room but you don't need to be there, so I stick it on when I take ds to nursery and it's finished by the time I get back so I can have my coffee and mnet without guilt!

I like mine but don't love it as i feel it doesn't quite get all the crap up...If you use it every day it helps.. I think it sweeps stuff into the corners too although its not meant to.

Still put it on every now and again...

...And then there was the funny incident when Roby came out to play with Hammy the hamster in the his ball

tootiredtothink · 02/07/2008 20:55

Sorry, tad excited!! Wonder how long they take to arrive??? I got the last one on e-bay too!

Minkus · 03/07/2008 14:00

Hoochie thankyou x 100 I saw your thread and ordered one too, Robie is lovely and as Lizzer says it pushes all the big crumbs and gubbins under the sofa/into the corners which I can deal with one of two ways-

  1. Conscientiously hoover up with the minivac in the blink of an eye, or
  1. Ignore as nobody can see it anyway
