Where can I donate old Jehovah's Witness magazines from a house clearance?

I am clearing a deceased relative’s house. I have Jehovah’s Witness Awake and Watchtower magazines from the 1970’s to 1990’s. There are about 500 magazines.

I don’t want to throw them away as they were kept for many years and someone may want them.

The British Library and Jehovah Witness UK head office don’t want them. I had no response from the Association of British Theological and Philosophical Libraries.

Does anyone have any suggestions please where I can take them? Thanks.

As another ex JW I agree recycle - at least something useful can hopefully be made out of such rubbish

Don't feel bad about recycling them.

They have served their purpose of your relative reading them and now they can go on to make something useful for somebody else.

If the libraries don't want them, your best bet is probably listing them as a bundle on eBay or Facebook Marketplace for a low price (or just shipping costs). Ex-members, historians, and researchers often look for vintage Watchtower material from those specific decades to document changes in the organization. You'll likely find a taker quickly there

The shipping would be hundreds. Nobody wants them.

Recycle them, you would be amazed how much is kept in people’s houses, you have tried the Jew’s and they don’t want them. At least once a month I get a call to the church I work at offering old parish magazines from house clearances and I refuse them - we have archive copies already, I also am offered dozens of tatty bibles each year, again a no though I refer them to a charity that does accept old bibles

I didn’t ask for your opinion you rude person.

I don't know what that person said but you did ask for people's opinions....

One man's treasure is probably everyone else's trash, including the JW themselves. If they don't want them, get them to the tip for recycling.

I've cared for two patients who are dead because of this religion.

Please bin them.

You can't donate them because no one wants them. Recycle.
