Light beige stair carpet looks worse after Vax, how to clean it?

I stupidly bought light beige carpets for the stairs and can't get them clean. I use a Vax Rapid power machine but it seems to make them worse. Have tried a few times. What can I do. The carpet is only a year old. :(

Id call it quits and buy a new one the colour of dirt. A flecked carpet is always quite forgiving

If you have used a vax multiple times then I think that’s as good as they are going to get. It’s not that bad.

if your household isn’t already taking shoes off at the door, start doing that. Is someone wearing hard black soled shoes or slippers?

They look clean to me but they don't look new.
I have a no shoes upstairs house and the stairs get filthy.
