Sick to death of shrinkflation - now coming for dishwasher tablets

I just bought a new pack of fairy all in one platinum lemon and noticed it felt smaller and lighter in my hand. Looking at the package they're boasting "new formula and scent" which I didn't notice in the shop thanks to toddler running riot.

I popped it in my dishwasher and it went in without a fuss. The old ones were so chunky I barely fit them in.

I am so annoyed. Is nothing safe?

I just bought some Finish Powerball and they are the same as usual. I bought a flatter gel version last time. We have a compact dishwasher and the gel ones fit in the drawer but not flat. I've not used powder for the dishwasher but I'm guessing that the same truth applies to this as with washing machines and gel. In the washer I only use a third of the stipulated dose because that's all you need

Is this new formula mire concentrated, or more powerful perhaps? Do the tablets still work?
