Miele hoover Constantly getting hair from me & daughter wrapped around rotating brush - alternative recommendations

I have a Miele pet with a rotating brush but it constantly gets all of me and my daughter hair wrapped around the brush and does pick up great (despite the cost). Wondering if anyone can recommend an alternative where im not spending ages on a constant basis trying to get the hair off the roller - hoovering is taking me way too long because of this. Thanks

All of mine have this problem

Never had a hoover with a brush that doesn’t do it. The Miele is annoying in that you can’t take the brush out. You dust have to cut the hair and pull it out. It’s worth it for me because it’s great for cat fluff.

The shark cordless has some sort of anti-hair wrap technology, it seems to work. I also constantly had this issue with my last cordless Dyson.

You need a Shark.

We have a corded and cordless, both are great. The hair wraps around a cone shaped bit inside the dust cup and you just pull it off when you empty it.

I find a quick sweep over carpets with a rubber broom brilliant for grabbing hair , I do this between hoovering and it’s satisfying enough for it not to feel too much of a chore . They’re designed for pet hair I think but they’re so so effective.

I bought Miele recently and the suction disappeared really quickly and I was cleaning hair off the rollers every 5 mins. We had a shark anti hair wrap before that. I've gone back to Shark

We have the Henry Pet with an "Airobrush", it is marginally easier to cut the hair out of the roller than the Miele. It doesn't need those screw things undoing or have the bit in the middle where it tangles around. (Appreciate this may make no sense if Miele have changed design!) . We have a longhaired dog and basically you need to cut the hair off every time, it gathers so much. But you need the brushes to pick the hair up in the first place.

thanks thats exactly what my miele is doing - its never been great tbh. I see that the sharks have a quick release brush seems so much easier.

Keep hair combing and brushing to a room like the bathroom and pick up as much as you can and throw it in the bin.

funnily enough did that today after hoovering and it picked up loads if hair just goes to show how bad the suction is on the miele i usually have it on second highest suction too.

which models do you have quite fancy a cordless as easier on stairs is it worth going for the one with 2 batteries?

Does your Miele not have a groove running the length of the brush OP?
our Shark does, I use the groove to guide scissors down to cut any hair ‘in half’.
comes out easily then.

I’ve got long haired dogs and also have long hair myself I had a very expensive shark hoover that was replaced by shark and then I just gave up with it. I’ve been very happy with my Sebo and you can replace parts very easily. Hands down it’s just fantastic quality and would recommend it to anybody.
