Let’s imagine one of your teenagers has thrown the turps-soaked rag they used for a craft project into the washing machine and it went through a wash cycle with all the black underwear and socks. And now the underwear and socks all smell of turps. 😬 We’ve washed them twice now, with extra washing powder, and they still smell strongly of turps. This is all the black undies and socks in the household belonging to everyone except (weird, eh?) the teenager in question, who did not bring their laundry basket down.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to how we can get rid of this smell, other than burning the lot and starting again?
