Just that really. Any tips for using my clear glass vases and for keeping them sparkling would be gratefully received. Many thanks in advance!

They won’t stay clean with flowers and water in. You can take the flowers out, rinse the vase and refill.

Put them in the dishwasher

Change the water daily

My grandmother used to put an aspirin in the vase…..she claimed it kept the water ‘sweeter’ 🤷🏻‍♀️

Don’t put your vases in the dishwasher, the glass is not the same as cheap ( ie dishwasher safe) drinking glasses, they will cloud for sure and possibly crack on a high setting.

Ive more or less given up with clear glass vases though, the stems are not especially attractive ( I did spray the inside of one old one silver and I much preferred it).

You need to change the water, and when empty, wash the glass with hot, soapy water and rinse well.

@Allthegoodnamesarechosen spraying silver sounds a great idea! And I like your user name!

Thanks for answering so quickly. I bought someone such realistic tulips from Homesense she went to fill the vase I gave her with water! I have some too. White hydrangeas from Primark are also very realistic. I rarely buy real flowers these days but got a fair few on my birthday hence the question on here 💐💐💐💐

Wash in soapy water or bicarbonate in water. Add vinegar to the rinse water.

Oh, and done let the water with the flowers in it get many in the fire place.

Changing water daily or every other day

After flowers have gone I pop 1 or 2 denture cleaning tablets in the vase, top up with water and leave to soak. Rinse out later and dry with no water staining and vase sparkly 😁
