How to get stinky feet smell out of sofa?!

DD15 likes to come home from football and lie on the sofa before having a shower (gross I know!). The smell from his feet is pretty bad and it now the sofa smells of it. Any tips on how to get it out? It's a fabric sofa.

Surely the whole room would smell ? I’d make him have a shower first if they are that bad .

Yep good point, we do now make him shower first. But the smell is now in the sofa so trying to find out the best way of removing it

HG odour removal spray is really good, might be worth a try

I would sprinkle with bio washing powder and leave over night then hoover off.
if that's not enough look at pet odour solutions.

Soak a large cloth or teatowel in washing powder/liquid/whatever you use in the washing machine. Wrap it around a saucepan lid and scrub the sofa with it.

Thanks all, I’ll give those a go

Bicarbonate of soda is my go-to for removing odour. Sprinkle it on, rub it in a bit, leave overnight then hoover off.

Febreze fabric spray is very good. I used to use it on my elderly dog's bed.

I have tried scrubbing it myself but I only clean the surface and the smell returns so I usually hire someone to deep clean it professionally because it goes deep inside the sofa and it gets thoroughly clean ( without the nasty water stains I leave 😄). I personally recommend bestlocalcarpetcleaners if you are in London.

Wash the covers on 30 and use an antibacterial washing additive. Take the cushions outside and Febreze them and leave them outside in the sun for a couple of hours. You might need to spot clean the arms with a cleaning machine?
