Unpleasant household chores

I've cleaned out the washing machine drawer any number of times.

Today however in search of an odd smell I actually looked into the space the drawer goes in. URGH! Full of gunk and mould. No wonder there was a smell.

Now however my washing machine smells divine and I am feeling rather pleased with myself.

So in honour of a nasty job done, what are your top yucky chores?

I am seriously considering it MrsBadger!

money well spent IMO

the car seats get done about 3 times a year and the shit in them is orrible.

the dishwasher filter is minging as well.

the wheelie bin is cleaned by a nice chap once a month.

dh is supposed to clean out the dryer condenser thingy regularly, but he often leaves it until it's got more fluff than a mohair jumper. that's gross.

Cleaning the cat bowls

BUT the little shavings form DH is what I particularly hate all around the sink, and having to wash any substance where you're not quite sure what it used to be is a biggie for me.

I hate ironing, but oddly enough quite like washing, and nothing beats a row of cloth nappies on the line on a sunny day

oooh, have just spent the morning defrosting the freezer. not particularly yucky, but very boring...

add tumble dryer filter (not just the one that collects the fluff!) to the list of manky filters.

must check washing machine drawer (I suppose...)

ooh yes I love washing/drying (well as much as you can love housework) it's very satisfying.

StealthPolarBear · 21/05/2008 11:32

Saddo alert - I only have 4 feeding bras, and I get great satisfaction on the odd ocassion all 4are washed, dried and in my drawer.
I really should buy some more.
